You named some but this list could be endless with this organization. I think you mean Joe Don Looney from Oklahoma in 1964. But my mind isn't as sharp so I apologize if I'm wrong.
To me there is quite a gap from 1964 thru 1991. You left out the 18 consecutive years of not making the playoffs or having a winning team thru 1964-1982. There is a lot of draft choices in that era that were real pips. And I'm talking about 1st rd picks.
Rich Glover, Larry Jacobson, Rocky Thompson and the supplemental pick that we gave up a 1st rd pick for good ole QB from Duke Dave Brown.
I don't know to laugh or cry over the years of disastrous draft picks from this organization.

What? 2004 Flowers? He's the best worst! You need to look at the film. Many of these players were probably before your time. Flowers was definitely a bust but there were worst picks.

I dated his ex girlfriend from Oklahoma. She was a Pan Am Stewardess out of Kennedy Airport. And she told me stories and said he was totally crazy. Twice as nuts as me she said. That scares the B Jesus out of me.

Joe Don Looney not Dan Looney.
Who wrote that? Geez.
Looney was a #1 pick but the NYG traded him before his first season after just 28 days to the Colts.
More about Looney...
He was known for his physique. Has a person's name ever been more appropriate?

If a team is unwilling to sign a 1st round pick to a second contract, it has to be viewed as a bust....though nothing close to most on that list.

Dam you Clint!

No NY Giants Bust list is complete without the infamous: Rocky Thompson I realize there are others but this,.....this will always be.. #1
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocky_Thompson_(American_football)
The Giants drafted Thompson in the first round of the 1971 NFL Draft with the 18th overall selection. He appeared in all 28 regular-season games for the Giants in 1971 and 1972, primarily as a kickoff returner, but his NFL career went sour, only scoring three touchdowns in his career.[2] The Giants released Thompson before the start of the 1974 season.[3] Deadspin ranked Thompson as the 7th worst NFL player of all time noting "Shortly after Thompson was selected in the first round of the 1971 draft out of West Texas State, The New York Times reported that Rocky Thompson … is listed in Bermuda and in official Brit track records as Ralph Gary Symonds. Neither Rocky nor Ralph could muster more than three career touchdowns."[4]
To make it even worse, Jack Tatum and Youngblood were picked immediately after him.

Biggest bust in my lifetime was Ron Dayne. Just awful given the Heisman Trophy and his college resume. Total bust and deflating. I remember Joe Don Looney by name but never felt the pain like some who are older...…...sorry, more experienced than me.

Derek Brown TE/ Notre Dame 14th overall. He met LT on the field got a punch in the nose and was never the same since!! Only lasted 3 years after 2 other teams tried him out. Certainly one of the worst 1st rounders

Gotta go with Cedric Jones. 5th overall pick in 1996.
And I loved Rocky Thompson! He may have been a bust, but back then he at least gave us a thrill returning kicks!

Young was not prepared for that as he thought Rice or Ogden would be there for him but because of Lawrence Phillips off-field BS that was not the case .....

Gotta go with Cedric Jones. 5th overall pick in 1996. And I loved Rocky Thompson! He may have been a bust, but back then he at least gave us a thrill returning kicks! Yes, he had blazing straight ahead speed.
I remember him running a couple kickoffs back for TDs!
Some research says one in 1971 for 93 yards and another in 1972 for 92 yards.
Check out his stats. He fumbled a lot!
