Giants played in three classic Super Bowl games, but they have also played in some of the great NFC title games ever. Which one is most memorable for you?
These are my top three. Feel free to add your own.
The Giants-49ers (90) Giants-Packers (07) Giants-49ers (11)
Feel free to add you own and why!

07 hands down mainly because of the weather elements and the way Eli and Plaxico played in that game. I know Eli was solid against the Bucs and Cowboys game but this game is when imo he showed everyone why he was worth all those draft picks back in 04. So many crazy things happened in that game. Plax abusing all pro Al Harris, Amani Toomer with the crazy sideline catch over all pro and future hof Charles Woodson, Pierce stopping a potential rb screen td by standing his ground against multiple olineman, Ahmad Bradshaw touchdown run late in the 4th that probably would have sealed the win instead there was a phantom holding call on Snee, and of course Tynes 2 missed fg in the 4th where TC was ripping his head off to make that kick.
Then OT CWebb picks off Favre, and finally Tynes runs out on the field without TC permission and kicks a record setting 47 yard fg in lambeau field while running straight to the locker room to celebrate instead of celebrating on the field because it was that cold. Too many emotions watching that game. 11 and 90 was just as good but 07 barely gets the edge for me.

Are you kidding?
Those of us lucky (and old) enough to be at the NFL Championship in 1986 season vs Washington in Giants Stadium, know it was one of the all-time great Giants games!
I could go on for ever about this game (as I have done many times before), but will spare you...

I could go on for ever about this game (as I have done many times before), but will spare you... You’re basing that off one thing. It was there first NFC Championship game in the Super Bowl era. Most of the fans who witnessed that game saw years of loosing, so much that most fans never thought they would see a Super bowl in there life time. The game was won before the coin toss, the Giants did enough in the wind to move the chains. The Redskins on the other hand couldn’t do anything. MVP of that game was Sean Landeta. My opinion was the ‘90 Championship game. Two power houses facing each other in what was another big game of the two franchises. 49ers with all the glitz and glam were going for the three-peat. All that stood in there way was the gritty blue collar Giants. With LT and a back up QB in Jeff Hostetler. The game of the year in every way. One of the most physical games I’ve ever seen. Both teams didn’t want to give up feet let alone first downs. Each play was met with bone jarring hits. The coaching staff of both teams were the who’s who of the NFL. And the game ended with a last second field goal. Hollywood couldn’t write a better script.

I had tickets to that game and gave them to my brother in law...…. so that I could see the Mets in the 7th game against Boston at Shea. Those were in the days when I had friends with great tickets! I have watched that Giants game a couple of times over the years and it was a great game over a very worth opponent.

#1 07 #2 2000 #3 11 The only reason I put 2000 ahead of 11 is because I was there and it was electric to be at home and win like that, 07 Was lucky enough to go to that one also,I was in the end zone when BJ ran over Woodson and you could here it from there what game in that whether Eli and Plex were unbelievable the finger tip catch by Toomer awesome Pierce taking on 2 OLs to save a TD lot of guys playing above the Xs and Os in that 07 game.

The significance of the 86’ game is hard to argue with. That said, I personally enjoyed the 01’ game the most. Everyone thought the Vikings were going to win, but what a romp. KC’s finest moment as a Giant, even if he followed it up with his worst.

I am picking the 90 NFC championship game against the 49ers. That was the best game I have ever watched IMO and also my personal favorite.

While I was alive for the first two games I was too young to understand the game.
My two favorite were vs the 9ers in 11 great defensive game and the vikings in 2000. We kicked the crap out of them.

When did the Giants play the Eagles in the NFCCG ? I think you mean the Vikings? Yes my mistake. I must’ve confused the game. Did they beat the Eagles in the divisional that year?

Vikes game was fun because we in the crowd felt really comfortable rather early! Pre-game I was down at the tunnel, where I always was because my seats then were nearby. Randy Moss came out with a long fur coat and an entourage. Looking all smug, so we gave him so much crap!
I don’t reflect on that game much, because I also was at the disaster SB that followed in Tampa Bay...
