Been a nets fan for decades and I have not been this happy in a long time. Knicks fans can blame James Dolan for not getting them. BROOKLYN!!!!!

2 max deals, impressive.
It's gotta be nice to root for a team that wins or at least seems to be heading that way. I like their coach as well.
Bastards.

I dunno, Kyrie is better than DR, but its not like he is replacing a poor player. DR is quite good, to me that is not a huge upgrade. It all hinges on if KD can come back from the achillies, and that is 50/50 at best IMHO. That injury is a really touch one.

Even if KD is 75% of the player that he used to be, he is still impossible to guard. He is a 7 footer that can get off his own shot from anywhere. He never solely relied on his athleticism.

I still dont understand how you could be a NJ Nets fan, and now a Brooklyn Nets fan. And the team name Nets is pretty weak. They should have changed that part of the name. Moving to Brooklyn its like a new team.
I was a Bulls fan growing up, definitely because of Jordan. Never was a strong Knicks fan, but really want to lean that way. The Nets just dont do it for me. But man they are running laps around the Knicks right now.

imo KD will never be the same again, and fall down pretty quickly. Hope Im wrong for his sake and the City's, but achilles is nasty for anyone, especially a 7-footer. Akin to horse breaking a leg. I see his performance numbers dropping by 30%, which means he is way overpaid.

The Knicks are cursed as long as Dolan owns the team. If anyone believes in reincarnation, I hope James Dolan comes back as Louie Anderson’s boxer shorts.

I hear this over and over, but Dolan owns the Rangers and they are very well run. He tries to get good basketball men in there. I am curious to see how this young team works out this year. Nets are the same team this year with Irving. He was a cancer to the Celtics young squad.

Part of his agreement with Phil was that he would stay out of it, and he held his end of the bargain. So far, he has also stayed away during Steve Mills tenure so far. I think a lot of the sentiment goes back to that, and was exacerbated by the whole Oakley fiasco. He's just an easy guy to not like.

Nets are the same team this year with Irving. He was a cancer to the Celtics young squad. First with the Rangers oddly enough he stud out of the men he hires way. He lets them do all the player personal, the hiring, basically he’s just an owner that oversees his team but does meddle with the day to day operations. The Knicks on the other hand he puts his input, his overbearing personality on what is best for the franchise. When it’s well known he doesn’t have a clue how to run a professional basketball team. From keeping his buddy Isiah Thomas around, for hiring a team president who had no experience and qualifications for the job. So much that Dolan had to way over pay for him to say yes. From keeping Phil Jackson on and then firing him after the draft when he drafted the busy Ntilikina. Also in basketball the players are a very tight group. That’s why they recruit their friends and create “super teams” When the Knicks dragged Carmelo into the mud who is a very popular player with the players it made the franchise look like a joke. Who oversaw that? Dolan... The same guy who got a Knicks legend in Oakley arrested on live tv, responding to a Knicks fan through mail by calling him a drunk and to go root for the Nets. The same guy who hires people to follow his employees around so he knows what they say to reporters. Ever since James Dolan has owned the Knicks they have been an utter disaster of a franchise. Quite different from the other team he owns in the Rangers. Two completely different sports with different outcomes. Dolan is in the discussion as the worst owner in professional sports for a good reason.
