Might suck being a Knicks fan, but hockey players don’t want to come to the Mecca to play for sloppy seconds!!

Lot of $$ and years, but he is still relatively young. It could be a very exciting year for the blue shirts, certainly a lot more potential than the last year or two.

If there was a blueprint on how to kill a full rebuild in less than 2 years the Rangers just authored it. I will even add an unpopular opinion, the player they should buyout is Henrik.

I think if you watched last year you know that Georgiev is as good, if not better at this point. The only cautionary tale here is when Montreal discarded a “finished” Patrick Roy and he was amazing for the Avalanche.

We'll see Georgiev get more frequent starts this year. It may be a few season transition between them, but the process is beginning.

Well they also finally got Shorkstin over here from Russia who is supposed to be a be a very legit goaltender. I love Henrik as much as any Ranger fan, but 8.5 m is a ton of cap to take up. Something tells me JD is not trying to hear anything about discarding the King.

That's what the Lightning did with Bishop and Vasilevsky (of course Bishop being made of porcelain made it easier to get Vasy more starts ) Georgiev and the other Russian kid both come from the same goalie factory in Moscow run by Tretchiak(sp) that produced Vasilevsky,Borborev, the Islanders Russian goalie and a few more. Kinda reminds me of that goalie Factory in Quebec that produced Roy,Brodeur and a few others (IIR even a few American goalies went up there )
