Well he was a poormans veteran replacement for OBJ. Though I do think Tate could be a very good 2nd or 3rd receiver. Give him time in pre season but he will be able to work himself into the offense when he comes back. I have to tell ya after the first pre season game I want to see a lot of these young receivers. Russell Shepard, T.J. Jones, White jr, and I can't think of the guys name we got from the Lions but he was wide open at least 3 times. And made catches for first downs. The other Shepard caught a nice pass also. These young guys need reps in game situations. I find myself really wanting to watch Russell Shepard and T.J. Jones. Big fan of TJ Jones. Never knew him until about two weeks ago...lol he seems like he is putting out 100% effort and having good results.

Good news/Bad News The bad news first.......He's suspended for four games. Now the good news........He's not that good anyway. Best news......he's now voided his 2020 guaranteed money and we can get out of his contract early if he doesn't light it up?

I disagree. I think that he is slightly above average. I've seen him do some really good work in Detroit and Seattle. Of course he had Wilson and Stafford throwing to him, both of which are at least really good QBs. He did well in Detroit that’s it. When he replaced Megatron. His numbers in Seattle were average so it won’t fit your narrative. Stats don't always tell the entire story. I'm sticking to my OPINION that he is an above average WR.

On active duty zero tolerance even after that the VA doesn’t provide “medical marijuana” and I’m pretty sure your medical providers will report you if you are using. I'm 99% sure that's not true. Big Red I can only speak from experience. This isn’t the Vietnam era and I am 100% sure the VA doesn’t issue out medical marijuana because it’s not legal under FEDERAL LAW.

Oh, that one's no good? Crap. Are we able to use the pro rated portion of his unpaid salary for next years cap? I never understood why we even signed him he’s not a no.1 and at best maybe an ok no.2. It seems like we have all the same type of small WR’s who run bubble screens and 5-10 yard routes. Wow Golden Tate might have saved us a windfall of cash because of his trying to beat the system. His contract is no longer guaranteed after the PED suspension. Maybe we can better spend it next year on someone else.

I like Golden, but isn't it ironic, how they're trying to change the culture and the guy they got rid of is playing football, and the guy replaceing him is now suspended for four games?
Don't get it twisted odell was a headache, but tates been in the league long enough to know better, now he's hurt the team bc of it. Luckily, some of these young kids looked good and as a positive they'll have a chance to really set themselves apart.

They will say Odell wasn’t a team player because he felt Eli was washed up and to be honest the WR’s were showing Eli up even Shep who was usually calm. I think part of the reason Odell and the rest of the good players that aren’t here anymore was the lack of respect for Eli.

If healthy this is where Slayton will start to persuade the doubters he wasn't even close to being a poor selection in the 5th.
The 3 I touted the most on draft day I still believe will make their Giant mark this year when all is said and done.
Jones - Connelly - Slayton.

Now Tate claims that he self-reported AFTER he was tested. Well of course, he knew he was going to test positive!

What a frigging liar I’m already sick of his **** “I was out to dinner one night with a guy who worked for me, and we started talking about another player who was getting suspended for something completely different, and kind of a light went off in my head, ‘Let me just call the doctor just to make sure, just to make myself feel better." lol who believes this stuff? So he never found out if the stuff he was taking was banned till after he took the test and was waiting for the results?

Pretty sure you're wrong on this. Im pretty sure your just being willfully ignorant. Odell and Shep openly showed him up on more than a few plays. JPP and a bunch of other defensive players were openly laughing and yucking it up when Eli was crying about his “benching” Snacks saying the team had no leadership and so on. You can act like those things didn’t happen but it happened right in front of your tv screen. All those players are gone now. ELI HAS YEARS LEFT! Haven’t you seen how he’s torn the league up the past 4 years lol!

I'll be very surprised if this takes place. Something doesn't sound right. If, in fact, the doctor did tell Tate he'd administered this drug to other players he (the doctor) could then be compelled to reveal those players in a formal investigation as a result of this suit. Secondly, Tate would open himself up to a counter suit as the burden of proof lies with him. Unless there was a witness or recording, proof positive would be difficult. Lastly, it makes little sense the doctor would make such a statement taking a career risk on his supposition the drug was OK. It would seem a professional man would verify to be absolutely sure he was correct and not be so careless in his assesments considering what was at risk for both the players and himself. Even more self evident, why aren't the others who the doctor prescribed this drug coming forward in Tate's defense. Having said that, if I'm wrong I would like to see Tate, at the least, recoup his lost wages from this guy.

Something does not sound right for sure. As I said in another thread; the doctor is responsible for the compounds in the medication he prescribed.
I think Tate is losing $1.2 million for these 4 games and his $8 million guarantee for 2020 is not gone.

My mistake. I meant to type that he can't practice w/ the team from the beginning of the season until Mon 9/30. I did look up the suspension rules before I commented. Thanks for pointing out my error.
