I took Houston +23.5 tonight. Very good QB in the Murray mold, probably don’t have enough bullets to defeat the Sooners, but at least stay within a couple scores.

Now for Week 1, in the league where they play, for pay:
Detroit -2.5 @ Ari - First career start for Murray who I think will be a good pro if he stays healthy, but 1 start does not a career make. Lions are the better team just about everywhere. Lock this one up.
Baltimore -5 @ Miami. - Miami is a minor league program and the Ravens are an NFL program. I don’t see how this stays within 14.
Giants +7 @ Dallas - I’d buy the hook here. That’s a really good D thry hsbe there in Dallas, but I think we should be able to at least get a couple drives going. I think it’s gonna be a 24-20 type game. This is more gut where I just don’t see Dallas blowing us out, I honestly don’t know what to expect early in the year from the Giants on either side of the ball.
KC -4 @ Jags - I think the Jags D will rejoin the elite this season, but that offense is a work in progress. You can’t stop KC you can only slow them, I don’t think Foles and the Jags will be ready to keep up just yet. This could be a preview of a late January game.
Broncos pick em @ Raiders - I’ll take the sound coach and safe football with the better roster week 1.
Week 1 football is very sloppy. Missed tackles, penalties., cramping especially in the Warmer cities. It’s basically a preseason game that counts as these guys all get babied in camp now and aren’t physically ready to play an entire game. That said I don’t gamble as much $$$ Week 1.

Baltimore is now -7 @ Mia....not sure if I love that over 5 pts. Miami is hot in Sept, no shade for visitors and Fitzpatrick in the first Q of the season is a ****ing mega unknown Probably would still take Bmore if gun to my head, but if unpressed I'd avoid. I love Detroit, I love GB, I love Denver and I love SEA ML, 9 pts is a lot but SEA would be my survivor pool pick Wk 1

I like Seattle as well, Cincy can’t block. My only concern there is Seattle’s young WRs. If the Bengals find any points could be a close cover. Not sure Clowney plays week 1. I’ll def have Seattle in my teasers.

I'll stick the NFL But if you want a lock of the week for your Survivor Pool, I'd take SEA early here.

I think they’ll be legit but I could see them taking some time to ignite. Some changes on the Oline and need to fit the weapons together on offense. Titans play ugly football could see that being a close one in week 1.
