Another Tues Another mock offseason
Conklin and Jones are my usual FA signings and brought back Williams and Golden
Got a huge haul for my pick from Jacksonville after Young went
R1P8 WR CEEDEE LAMB OKLAHOMA
OK this pick will piss a lot of fans off. Except Thomas and Wirfs went ahead of me and I dont see a drop off between Leatherwood and the 2nd round guys Some will argue Delpit...Love is showing he probably is a solution at FS ..some will argue Simmons.... I took my draft crush WR(even over Jeudy,Lamb was the 9th ranked player and Jeudy 7th)as he fits a need.. does a bit of everything at a top level and already advanced route running.. Him,Slayton and the 2 slot guys now give Jones more than enough weapons
23: R1P23 EDGE K'LAVON CHAISSON LSU
Agonizing decision between him and Biadasz.. to me Chaisson is the 2nd best edge rusher in this draft and I really want to improve this area of the team. While not Young dominant he along with Golden behind the Dine and we have improved this
34: R2P2 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN
And he is still here for me. I have my 10 year starting C I am happy
35: R2P3 LB KENNETH MURRAY OKLAHOMA
BPA..wanted another good body at the 2nd level.
40: R2P8 OT PRINCE TEGA WANOGHO AUBURN
Future starting LT
72: R3P8 LB ZACK BAUN WISCONSIN
BPA..really speedy blitz type gap shooter
97: R3P33 CB PAULSON ADEBO STANFORD
With the young kids and Jones, one more talented corner to add to the group Nd make it deep witha Richard Sherman clone
110: R4P2 WR DENZEL MIMS BAYLOR
Can't resist this athletic freak here. Another playmaker for Jones and a red zone specialist.
149: R5P2 OT JACK DRISCOLL AUBURN
OT depth
183: R6P2 OT SAAHDIQ CHARLES LSU
Projects more a a guard but another versatile linemen that can back up many positions
218: R7P2 TE COLBY PARKINSON STANFORD
Ellison is owed 7 million next year,Engram's future could be in doubt. His teammate Smith is starting to look legit, let's double down with the same type or TE from the same school
246: R7P30 S TANNER MUSE CLEMSON

The defense is back in play draft...amazingly, I trade back and get the best corner prospect to come out of the draft in 10 years. Shut down...and then in the second round I get the best free safety prospect to come along in the same amount of time...albeit, a lacking tackler. We follow that with Curtis Weaver, not quite the bend for an ideal edge, but on a 3-4, will set the edge and plays well against the run....with enough moves to generate a pass rush. We then get a few tackles, the Prince falls down for me...gotta love these fantasy drafts...and we get the ACL man, and great linebacker Dylan Moses from Alabama. A north south runner from the same school, to help show Barkley where the holes are...and how to hit them quickly. Another quality starting corner, a nickel corner in round 7...a couple outside linebackers, with a sack specialist from the Badgers. I was even able to get Mr. Lucas...who NEVER GETS BEAT! We need a center...and we can use another tight end...but this was a haul. Free agents are out there...and no, I would be VERY careful signing Williams. Personally, I'd pass. 9: R1P9 CB JEFFREY OKUDAH OHIO STATE

It's not that I've soured on Delpit as much as I think Love more will do the job. He doesn't have Delpit's high ceiling as a ball hawk, but at the same time Love is already showing he is a much better tackler then Delpit other than one play(which was the hole in Delpit's game, his tackling was not good for a position where he is the last line of defense) I'll take the steady above average in most everything any day back there right now. Chaisson is possibly going to be a borderline top 10 value when it's all said and done and woumd not mind a "mild reach" for him if we end up at 5 and this is true .

My yay I finally have time off from work draft...actually watched some K'Lavon Chaisson video before I crashed a well needed nap...this one in particular. Watched the game, but now focused into the player you thought might be a good reach at 5. Haha...my takeaway now watching more closely, is Texas # 52 being a good tackle prospect...Samuel Cosmi He blocked him quite easily most game.... one on one. You can notice Chaisson, and his athletic abilities, great bend, quickness, great spin move (Cosmi handled that, with some holding at times...lol)...but I'm not sold at him as a top ten pick. He does fit our 3-4 as a stand up linebacker...has the wow burst and bend, good football IQ....not sold on his motor. Might be a high risk, high reward player...not sure my 5 pick is him though. Might be a reach, but he certainly fits our defense. I am hoping he breaks out these next 2 games...Tigers and the easy to root for Burrow

I agree with the high risk high reward when it comes to Chaisson, i feel like its a toss up between him and Weaver for best 2nd round pass rushing prospect

Weaver does drop in coverage, despite being the far thicker player vs K'Lavon...just want to edges to have that bend, and having that tremendous athletic ability...I see that with Chaisson all year long watching LSU...Weaver has the production...I guess it's how our, or any NFL scout feels they will translate into the NFL. I see both 2nd rounders, but because they are edge players, they will be pushed up. IMHO, too many quality offensive tackles to not get two this year...as TEM suggests correctly, out biggest need. We all know Dave Gettleman is going to draft DT Derrick Brown from Auburn anyway....

You mean ths same guy you were touting since last year (to me fair I was kinda on the bandwagon after watching him demolish the Gators this past year until the Williams trade) Even if we didn't make the trade this would have been a move that pissed off 80% of the fan base yet I would totally understand why and why it woumd have been a sound pick... And regards to Chaisson At 5 yeah possibly bit rich.. In a trade back to 11 or 12 lot more value Actually had the same questions Danille Hunter has coming out, potential boom or bust player albeit a little smaller Honestly dunno if this is a Gettleman type of pick If Reese were still here you could pretty much pencil him in for us if Young was gone Oh and that clip makes me put that Texas LT on my wishlist

In a trade back to 11 or 12 lot more value Actually had the same questions Danille Hunter has coming out, potential boom or bust player albeit a little smaller Honestly dunno if this is a Gettleman type of pick If Reese were still here you could pretty much pencil him in for us if Young was gone Oh and that clip makes me put that Texas LT on my wishlist We all know DG is salivating over DT supreme Brown... He even bumped Chase Young as the 2 overall on one big board I am following Would you be surprised if he took Brown? ...he can 3 tech it as well as Ed Oliver, who is now playing lights out for the Bills. (Bills vs Patriots another must see TV this week) ...plus fill up space and take those two blockers, and still get gap pressure. Shortage on DT and Edge this year...except Brown and Young as the best...gotta go OL, WR and CB...DG sets this team back 5 years if he fails to draft OT or Young ... making signing DT Williams much more of a priority...to at least know he "should" pass up on Brown. Would you sign Suh as a free agent for a couple years GL? ...get rid of the DG, DT junkie's need, and allow DG to scratch his addiction for a few years

My Christmas edition, for anybody not offended by Christ and his birthday...I am gifting myself, and ready to open up my presents given to me, by me. This is for you Aris, Merry Christmas. Thank you Aris, God Bless and Merry Christmas to you and your family. Oh wow, lots of pass rushers Aris! How did you know what I wanted? Because somebody told me Aris. Here is one for you Aris. Thank you Aris. How is your family? Your son went to the same college as mine?...his name is Chris as well? I wonder if they knew each other? Well, give your family all my best Aris. Thank you Aris! My wife wishes you the best as well. This is a photo of my wife Aris. Hey, how did you get a photo of my wife? Probably just looks like her...but I better not catch you near my wife Aris. You too Aris. So what you get me Aris? Oh, wow...pass rushers for me as well? And a corner, and right tackle? This is the best Christmas ever! This is also the best Christmas ever for me as well...God Bless you Aris. You too Aris. After releasing Ogletree, Ellison and Martin...and signing Williams, Golden, Remmers and Goodson....had 95 mill. With the 95 million dollar check, I went shopping on Amazon...category, football players. Into my shopping cart went Logan Ryan, DJ Humphries, Yannick Ngakoue, Chris Jones, Dante Fowler and Joe Schobert...and proceeded to check out Oh, and screw you Suh for not accepting my low ball offers. You remain in my wish list....we will see if 1 million a year for 3, and 25% guaranteed will eventually lure you. Now, I trade back and hit the draft in the area where a WR and OL make the best value...middle first round. I have ILB and OLB taken care of, and have two edge supreme players...making spots for my crazy get the QB lineup will be a DC's happy nightmare. Want speed on the outside catching the ball? Do you? Ruggs, Reagor and Hill...oh my. Want some size on the WR spot? Mims...a banger running back as well, to help with thunder thighs. We have more DL help with the Fotu pick...as if we needed it. We have OL galore...a starting all pro potential center to take Jones to the Super Bowl...we have tackles, the best guard in college football...did I mention Lucas Niang...and the fact he NEVER GETS BEAT? We need a tight end? You have a tight end. Want another ILB to compliment the free agent signing? Well, how about the best, recovering from an ACL? Take your time coming down the hill Moses with your superbowl commandments...we have so many defenders now, we are going top 5 in the NFL on defense. But just in case, here is some James Lynch to get the QB...DC shouts attack, we get a pass rush...within .054 seconds. Oh, he's going to throw it quickly against us? Not with the secondary I have assembled. Gladney, Jackson, Bassay...with Logan and Deandre Baker ... hell, I even drafted Brandon Jones for another safety. Nothing is completed, and even Lamar Jackson gets squashed by this pass rush. The Lombardi trophy is ours, all because I spend the money on a pass rush, and traded that 2 pick back, and kept trading back...yes, it will be fun to be a Giant fan next year as the new GM named Aris has completed our GM work 22: R1P22 WR HENRY RUGGS III ALABAMA 23: R1P23 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN 39: R2P7 OT AUSTIN JACKSON USC 60: R2P28 OT PRINCE TEGA WANOGHO AUBURN 62: R2P30 G SOLOMON KINDLEY GEORGIA 63: R2P31 TE COLBY PARKINSON STANFORD 71: R3P7 DL LEKI FOTU UTAH 74: R3P10 LB DYLAN MOSES ALABAMA 75: R3P11 EDGE JAMES LYNCH BAYLOR 86: R3P22 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU 97: R3P33 RB NAJEE HARRIS ALABAMA 110: R4P2 S BRANDON JONES TEXAS 115: R4P7 OT LUCAS NIANG TCU 149: R5P2 CB JEFF GLADNEY TCU 153: R5P6 WR DENZEL MIMS BAYLOR 183: R6P2 CB LAMAR JACKSON NEBRASKA 218: R7P2 CB ESSANG BASSEY WAKE FOREST 246: R7P30 WR K.J. We can at best be 5-11 and out of all the other 5 wins teams, we have the worst SOS so we would pick in front of them. The only other team than could leap frog us is the Dolphins in week 17. Dont get me wrong though, Im pretty upset we just handed Young to the Skins. Im pretty sure they will replace Kerrigan first before replacing the Trent Williams in this scenario. It will be interesting to see what Detroit does. And I highly doubt we go CB again in the 1st round.

Honestly Okudah and Jeudy would both make me break shit at 4...mainly because of how deep both positions are this year. But I would actually hate the corner pock more because of how much assets were thrown at the position the past 2 years (including the 2019 3rd rounder because of the comp pick and the trade up ) I could talk myself into justifying a Jeudy pick after calming down because our depth chart at WR is Slayton Shepard (one concussion away from retirement Tate (aging and expensive And But still...I would hope we explored all options to trade back first Of course we have no idea what the big boards will look like in 4 months...because as a reminder Demontre Moore was a solid top 10 prospect this time 2012..

Lions need a corner(If Slay leaves)and wide receiver and a defensive tackle more than a OT ...although they can use a right tackle...not a spot to use with the 3 pick (they have Decker on the blind side...a top one)...we have Jeudy and the best corner prospect in over 10 years being Jeffrey Okudah sitting there, who is a player I would not cry if the Giants take. I see them taking super stud DT Derrick Brown from Auburn at three. Question is, who does Washington take? They can go Young, or Thomas..or even Jeudy. Lions should lose next week...Skins can beat a Cowboy team that is reeling with talent...problem is, if we win next week...VERY possible, we can end up at pick 10. At 4, we need to hope the Lions go anybody else but Andrew Thomas. Wide Receiver is a not needed pick at 4 for us..Jeudy is a great route runner with all you can ask for in a WR...but still a luxury pick for this Giants team. Andrew Thomas should STILL be ready to be the chosen one at 4, because I do not see the Lions taking a OT at 3...they will take this beast The fans that act all high and mighty rooting for wins at this stage prefer a team that wallows in shit for another decade. The ONLY way to build a NFL team is through the draft, and when you are looking for a pass rush and franchise left tackle, and there are two generational types in those spots of need THIS year ...you should secretly hope for a chance to acquire them through the draft...not end up picking 10. Smart fans vs emotional fans... stay smart Actually, according to this, it looks like we can only fall to pick 5 the worst. I just see Jeffrey Okudah as an amazing talent...his ball skills? His athleticism? His technique...he back peddles as well as any cornerback in the NFL, as a junior in college. He should run a 4.35- 4.4 40...but it's his quickness that is off the charts. Not since Patrick Peterson have I see as good a CB prospect...and IMHO, this kid has better technique and now... ball skills. I have no issue having a shut down corner taking away any and every top receiver we play against. But, but...but...Andrew Thomas all day and every day here. Detroit is taking Brown, or Jeudy....looking at the SOS of the 5 win teams ahead of us, you might be right. At 5, we still have a legit shot at Thomas because of the Tua and Herbert being the wild cards. This draft will be a success if we get Thomas and one of the blue chip centers....Giants should, and probably will, spend that huge blank cap allowance on any and all pass rushers...while we have Daniel Jones in his rookie contract...get some players that will get to the QB...and yes, there are 4 top ones as of right now available. All under 30 Yannick Ngakoue Jadeveon Clowney Chris Jones Shaq Barrett I see no OL worth a contract....average at best. Every signing by the NY Giants should be guys who can cover, and more importantly...get to the QB...IMHO of course.

I see a huge gap between Okudah and the other corners...again, at this stage. I don't see that big of gap between Jeudy and two of his teammates, let alone the other 5-10 top wide outs this year...I see so many graded as first rounders. Hell, I like Ruggs better than Jeudy, who I see drop a lot of easy passes...and yes, they are easy, because his route running and separation is incredible. Okudah > 2nd best corner. Jeudy closer to the many many many other wide outs coming out this year. A LEGIT shutdown corner makes any DC's job a lot easier...as does a Chase Young. Okudah has shutdown corner written all over him...and our cornerbacks talent level now, and IMHO, in the future, is in the need, desperate need of a major pass rush.
