Some good thinking here gang
My thing.... I'm actually willing to reach for Cushenburry in the 2nd,especially if we don't trade back because thats a long time between picks on day 2..
Going to piss a lot of fans off but especially if we don't trade back the value in the first 2 days is on offense...build the line and get Jones a weapon... Now getting ak extra day 2 pick or 2 ...then more pure value..

I’ve gone back and forth and settled on this. I’m tired of thinking about it. I don’t expect much support of this mock but I’m just here to share an opinion - not try to convince folks I’m right.

As most of the boards know, Andrew is my top pick of 2020 Delpit was going top 10 a few months ago and is the best cover safety in the draft Ruiz isnt my favorite C but we need one and the value at 99 is there Bryant is quickly becoming my favorite TE option for us, while I like Engram, I dont think he's the future. Bryant is like a healthy Engram Tyler Johnson is a quick and tough crisp route running WR, makes his bread in the middle of the field with jump balls. Surprised he's not ranked higher Durant is a big ball of dough in a good way, he could EASILY be molded to be a GREAT OT, he has SUCH great raw skills Carter would be a good slot cb and a backup safety in a pinch Galea'i is a player who is OOZING raw talent, he doesnt have the finer things down, but if he can get them down, he will be a THREAT Coleman is a player who when he gives effort he looks like a hell of a talent, but he mails it in WAY too often. Not really long, strong, bendy, or quick, but when he DOES give effort he does well Jones is a BIG strong dude, but he has no length, like t-rex arms for a DL, really surprising agility and quickness especially for a 321lb DL, had a nice season with 10TFL and 5.5 sacks

Delpit would be nice - wouldn’t mind him. However I think we have a different game plan drafting than you present. We’ll see.

I agree but the draft shocks me every year. Some player are picked before projection and some after. That what I like about it. The human element is on display

So .... Gameplan here is to build the offense up to a young intimidating unit with the line and speed all over..modern NFL= speed wins...as the defense with their additions should be functional..throw a BPA piece in.... So we get offense and special teams really good.... 2 out of the 3 phases really good and you win 60% of your games..
12: R1P12 OT TRISTAN WIRFS IOWA
Between him and Beckton..Wirfs is my 2and highest rated OT ..no brainer
19: R1P19 EDGE K'LAVON CHAISSON LSU
IMO this guy is going to blossom..every game I watched him he was highly disruptive A lot like Janielle Hunter Behind that D line he could be sick
36: R2P4 C LLOYD CUSHENBERRY LSU
Slight reach...top C ...we now have 2 instant day 1 starters on the O line
80: R3P16 WR DEVIN DUVERNAY TEXAS
Speed speed speed...and highly productive..
99: R3P35 LB JORDYN BROOKS TEXAS TECH
Highly athletic MLB prospect
110: R4P4 TE ALBERT OKWUEGBUNAM MISSOURI
I have a feeling Engram won't be around...he is a taller red zone threat, highly athletic and can block..makes Engram expendable
150: R5P4 OT JACK DRISCOLL AUBURN
Future starter at one of the Tackle spots when we delete Soldier
183: R6P4 WR QUEZ WATKINS SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
More speed... he basicly is a Slayton clone hight/speed /wins contested catches. More advanced route running than Slayton coming out...we now have a KC Chiefs starter kit at WR....this will open up Barkley in an 11
218: R7P4 RB DARIUS ANDERSON TCU
Perfect compliment to Barkley...little tough runner...looks like the type of RB that the 49ers flourish with, great in passing game and as a kick returner
238: R7P24 CB JOSIAH SCOTT MICHIGAN STATE
Depth at C
247: R7P33 S JAVELIN GUIDRY UTAH
More sub 4.4 speed..this time in the secondary
255: R7P41 QB STEVEN MONTEZ COLORADO Developmental QB TRADES TRADE PARTNER: LAS VEGAS RAIDERS SENT: ROUND: 1 PICK: 4 RECEIVED: ROUND: 1 PICK: 12 ROUND: 1 PICK: 19 ROUND: 3 PICK: 16

Quarantine and On the Clock Premium means way too much time spent making mocks lol. Tons of OL help here with Wirfs and Ruiz being day one starters and Peart should be able to become a very solid starter in time. FS addressed with a very talented player. We get some talented edge guys in Uche and Robinson. 2 burners at WR in Watkins and Mooney. Both 4.3 guys with STs ability. I wanted to go LB earlier but the value wasn’t great at each spot but I was able to get a good value in Logan Wilson and the Davion Taylor is an extremely athletic LB both would be nice additions there. Albert O would be a great get at TE as well. Evans, Green, and Davis are all depth guys that I like a lot for their projected spots.

I didn’t have the trade features for the longest time and then said screw it eventually. Then the quarantine happened and I’ve been spending a ridiculous amount of time messing around on it. It’s actually quite addicting lol. Thank you though I do appreciate it. I agree on Ruiz, I like his game. He doesn’t seem like a mauler in the run game, but he would be an immediate upgrade over what we have currently. With the state of the team I feel like they’ve put themselves in a position where they almost are forced to take OT and C within the first 3 or 4 rounds. We did sure up some areas of need but there’s still a lot of work to do. I think trading back is the best route to accomplish that. Ideally they get 2 firsts in return and maybe some extra picks, but even something where they get multiple day 2 picks for moving back a couple slots would be hard to pass on for me

Great job for those getting one and trading that far back Hahaha...just having fun with these things. In reality, if the board would allow me to also make believe being a GM and having an opinion, I'd take Thomas, just like you....that's my 4 pick. Nothing more, nothing less. Andrew Thomas. If I trade back, it is as you say...between the Dolphins and Chargers, or Chargers and a smokescreen. I would not drop below 6, and the Dolphins might be going up Tua 3...so I'm not sure we trade back, unless DG has a few DT's he is keen on getting on later.

A move that may likely block the Eagles from taking him at 21. Starting T, #1 WR & starting Center in the first three picks would be incredible. Honestly I actually have Higgins behind Mimms and J Jefferson in that next tier for WRs and the top "bigger WRs"...for having possibly a prodigy for a QB he should have also put up mind bending numbers for his hight/speed atributes,I see dissapointemnt if someone takes him in round 1 My targets for the 2and number one was if one of the big 3 WRs slipped (most likely Ruggs )or Chaisson...all 3 were gone So my thinking was I wanted to target one of the Centers with my 2and round pick because I want to guarantee getting my day 1 starter, while a bit of a risk to think like this a strategic reach is fine if you know you could be in no mans land and then value overall isn't going to be that different elsewhere. I also wanted to try at least to find an edge guy if possible early because I was targeting offense as much as possible.Chaisson not only has been my 2nd favorite guy after Young but because I was stressing the O line early and all but locked in Cushinburry or Ruiz in the 2nd...my 2and tier of edge rushers would probably be gone by the Raider's 3rd(the Uchea,Okwaras, ect, many will be gone by my 2nd pick) So knowing how deep this recievers class is and knowing I could even wait till round 5 for Watkins for a dynamic speed guy I did Chaisson...at least get one high end piece for the front 7 early Of course double dipping made this offense sick this year on paper.... If paper becomes reality..the offense and special teams are now 2 top units in the league, many of our players still on rookie deals, lots of cap room especially after deleting Tate and Soldier(and extending Williams and Tomlinson so both sides of the line of scrimmage are young and dominant...receipe for a long window of 12-4 seasons right there) Make your 1 splash signing on defense as a finishing move then go BPA defense in 2021 and really bolster everwhere(we will have a handle by then on what our young guys are or aren't so an influx of young talent next year at the very least makes for a lot of deptb),exception being maybe an O lineman or 2 for deptb

Interesting fanspeak first round...will post the results of the entire make believe fantasy draft after this all league first round. In this mock, the Jags offered their 2 first round picks, better than the Raiders, as Simmons was selected by the Lions, and we then had the Tua sweepstakes. Oddly, I was offered trades by both the Raiders and Jaguars. Would somebody outbid the other with another pick?...maybe a 2nd rounder? Future 1st rounder? I can't say it enough, but QB is king in value by a vast amount, and if a team believes in a franchise they will risk a LOT of picks to get their guy. Sadly, I believe the Lions will be accepting those bids, and will eventually be persuaded by a vast collection. A few other oddities, Ruggs was selected WR1, and Lamb slid all the way to us, with a then run on WR and OT...Jones, Jackson and Wilson after a 14 of Wirfs to the Bucs This is where the Giants have to be prepared for, the chaos involved if they are suddenly in a situation they did not plan for. The "Apple" core meltdown...knowing what EVERY situation can unfold versus a simple running back at 2, and BPA the rest of the way. This is the year to attempt to be creative, and if any other teams creativity comes to us, be expecting it. Expect the unexpected. Understand what every other teams need is, and attempt to go past every smoke screen as you understand every other pattern and tendency ...throughout the entire draft. I'm sure they are doing this, are attempting to, as that's what they get paid to do...we in simple terms, have to hit this draft out of the park. Ae you probably know Lamb has been my guy since August..perfect blend or Odell and Hopkins,by week 8 defenses will have to adjust what they do to account for him and that opens ul everything else. Behind an improved line Jones will be seeing for the first time I'm his career wide open recievers because of this...or he can just hand it off to Barkley in RPO and let him get 30 yards a touch through empty space. Also What's not being talked about with this Wills and Lamb will save nearly 25 million in 2021 cap space...maybe more if they think Runyon is legit and they move on from Zeitler (personally if Zeitler is playing at a high level in just I just keep him in 2021 in his last year) Pride immediately is in competition for the starting slot position Okwara to me is a safe edge guy that probably gets about 8 sacks a year and plays a steady fundamentally sound edge... Dugger is Simmons where a player like this should be selected Love this

The Lions holding onto the pick if the Redskins take Young would shock me.

4: R1P4 OT JEDRICK WILLS ALABAMA
A better pass blocker, weaker run blocker then Thomas, will go right to start, and slide to left when it's time...with Solder, that time is yesterday.
43: R2P11 S GRANT DELPIT LSU
Ed Reed comparisons to begin the season... can't tackle at the end...can still center field as a free safety, and is easily the best single high safety in this draft...and with our secondary if nada else, can use a great single high safety.
50: R2P18 WR DEVIN DUVERNAY TEXAS
Does not drop anything...great combine, speed and hands.
99: R3P35 C CESAR RUIZ MICHIGAN
At this spot, let's give him the upside he is touted as having
119: R4P13 CB TROY PRIDE JR. Notre Dame
Track star speed, who would do wonders day 1 in the slot
134: R4P28 S TANNER MUSE CLEMSON
Safety or linebacker...tweener with thump.
150: R5P4 WR QUINTEZ CEPHUS WISCONSIN
Beautiful route runner
183: R6P4 TE THADDEUS MOSS LSU
The son of randy...does all good, but nothing outstanding
218: R7P4 S JULIAN BLACKMON UTAH
Safety or slot...nice player who will not be here in the 7th
238: R7P24 RB REGGIE CORBIN ILLINOIS
Will be on the Reggie bandwagon throughout the draft...
247: R7P33 EDGE KENDALL COLEMAN SYRACUSE
Talent says earlier rounds...
255: R7P41 WR MARQUEZ CALLAWAY. (25 points) TENNESSEE
If there ever was a player who the Giants should take as Mr. Irrelevant, this is the guy.

Man that's a lot of speed in the secondary (at least 3 guys sub 4.4 speed) As I've been saying, modern NFL 101... speed wins... At the very least you have created a lot of competition in the secondary at slot and safety....(possible trade bait come cutdown time ).. : :

Took the trade back with Oakland.... A responsible GM that has his job on the line and is also on the hook for a franchise qb his handpicked coach basicly handpicked (not a bad choice)will build around said QB and top playmaker. In a draft top heavy and deep with players that fit this philosophy, you don't force defense unless you get a BPA /Value/need...
So
12: R1P12 OT MEKHI BECTON LOUISVILLE
Ass cheeks clenched tight as I saw 3 of the fab 4 go off 3 picks in a row... Jets taking Lamb saved me from hitting the reset button, lol A bit more raw than the other 3 Becton is still an instant upgrade day 1 starter at RT and with some coaching could be insanely good The intimidation factor...Lawrence won't be chirping in tweets after his first experience
19: R1P19 LB PATRICK QUEEN LSU An actual linebacker with good football instincts My favorite inside guy....a reason to make the trade back with Las Vegas is because this is litteraly the sweet spot in the draft for a very good playmaker on defense So being the extra number 1 is kinda a luxury pick...I had my choice of Queen,J Jefferson and Mimms...and while the 2nd 2 are bigger athletic freak WRs I went with the best linebacker in the draft knowing how deep WR is for what I'm looking for
36: R2P4 C LLOYD CUSHENBERRY LSU
Back to back LSU Instant upgrade day one starter at C Value was close enough
80: R3P16 WR DEVIN DUVERNAY TEXAS
Modern NFL. Speed wins He has loads of it and magnetic hands... Opposite Slayton and an improved O line... Barkley will feast
99: R3P35 G BEN BREDESON MICHIGAN
Depth inside Zeitler's eventual replacement
110: R4P4 CB TROY PRIDE JR. NOTRE DAME
Biggest need in the secondary is slot corner A natural slot corner who is a world class athlete. ..possibly could double as a PR
150: R5P4 WR QUEZ WATKINS SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
Just missed out on Antonio Gibson (basicly an all around dynamic playmaker that would be our Deebo Samuel's and return specialist So instead I added more dynamic outside speed with a Slayton clone...
183: R6P4 OT TREY ADAMS WASHINGTON
This is called medical competitive advantage, where a really good player falls Because of injury.. He would have made this O line class sick He had a good year in his rebound year but because of the CV 19 bullshit it's hard to get medicals So take this guy here and give him a redshirt type year(remember we can carry 55 Players now,let him 100% heal and when we delete Soldier he probably starts at one of the tackle spots 218: R7P4 EDGE CHAUNCEY RIVERS MISSISSIPPI STATE 238: R7P24 EDGE BRYCE STERK MONTANA STATE 247: R7P33 EDGE TREVIS GIPSON TULSA
Spray and pray time at edge rusher... The board dictated bad value....i 255: R7P41 RB J.J. TAYLOR ARIZONA
Some depth at RB
Will do another later but I really hope we do something like this

Well, the Raiders are now sweetening the offer with 3rd rounder. In essence I gave the 4, and received Wills, cover backer Queen, and Tyler Badass...for Herbert.
