I would be extremely excited about this draft class. I really like Sage Surratt and his brother Chazz is a draft crush of mine due to the story alone. The guy has the want and the athleticism to make it. 5 star QB says he wants to switch to LB when his hand is in a cast. That's a guy who has heart and we need players like that even if he's just a ST's guy but if I was to bet on someone it would be someone with that type of God given athleticism paired with true heart. Even if he's still very much learning the position.
Moses, Prince, Chase Young (obviously), etc. A lot of talented, athletic players who play hard as hell which we need desperately

No trades, and no early 3 pick.
Dave Gettleman is brutal as a rebuilding GM...a running back at 2, and trading away picks...??!!??
Have to go Chase Young if we end with pick 2. I had no value at pick 34 for a OT vs Tyler, who will be a pro bowl center.
2: R1P2 EDGE CHASE YOUNG OHIO STATE 34: R2P2 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN 98: R3P34 LB TROY DYE OREGON 108: R4P2 OT ALARIC JACKSON IOWA
He is a solid tackle, but not where I want to be looking for a starting left tackle. Early 3rd gifted to the Jets is going to haunt us...and our rebuild of the OL
146: R5P2 OT COLE VAN LANEN WISCONSIN
Cole Van Lanen, if you watch Wisconsin, will notice he's about the best run blocking linemen coming out. At tackle? I am not sold, but I do believe he can move inside and shine at guard, and be used at right tackle if needed.
180: R6P2 LB JACOB PHILLIPS LSU
I do believe this 3 down linebacker Jacob moves up in the draft...sort of a LSU secret.
215: R7P2 LB CHAZZ SURRATT NORTH CAROLINA
Some quality linebackers still kind of late in the draft here...
241: R7P28 LB SHAQUILLE QUARTERMAN MIAMI
This an easy spot to take Quarterman
247: R7P34 OT YASIR DURANT MISSOURI
Durant could be a starting right tackle...easy choice in the 7th round
253: R7P40 WR TYRIE CLEVELAND FLORIDA 255: R7P42 WR JUWAN JOHNSON OREGON
We need more picks Gettleman, not less

And lack of picks is why signing a RT such as Conklin is important in the offseason. Wise move for Tyler at 34 if that's the value,as at the very least this really solidifies the middle of the line which helps out our RPO/inside power zone(providing the potential new staff use this, which I think they do)

This dude has so much heart and obviously loves the game more than anything. This story has def sent him shooting up my personal boards, LOL. I was a fan of his because I felt that he could be part of a great tandem with Connelly, that being said, this is what the draft network had to say about him.... Pros - Outstanding physical traits in terms of size, body composition and mobility. Has excellent range, lateral mobility and his pedal is fluid. Good spring and overall bounce in his step. Really like how quickly he can change directions and cover ground. Has no issues getting depth in drops and getting outside the tackles to finish. Closes distance rapidly when blitzing/shooting gaps. Performing well in his initial action at linebacker after converting from quarterback. Urgenty, physical football player. Some impressive zone drops already where he reads the backfield and fluidly works into throwing lanes.
Cons - Still new to the position and it’s clear he’s still developing and understanding of his responsibilities. Still finding consistency as a tackler and setting himself to finish with correct angles. Some scrapes need to be tighter so he doesn’t inadvertently widen gaps. Block deconstruction and playing off contact is a work in progress but he certainly isn’t shy. Needs more time to gain experience and comfort at the position.

So as much as I WANT to get a OT in the 2nd, there really isnt any solid options worth it.

He is a great run blocker, there's no denying that, but im not sold on him as an LT, MAYBE an RT, but not an LT. I know Wisconsin is an OL factory, but for some reason he just doesnt rank higher for me. I didnt see the Wisconsin vs Ohio game but I heard he did pretty good against Young which is saying alot.

I'm a big fan of both of them. Sage the first player I believe to be Mr Basketball and Football coming out of North Carolina which is crazy. Chazz being a 5 star QB and switching to LB to be first team all ACC and second to Isiah Simmons for DPOY in the ACC He has all the practical tools in the world. Effort will never be questioned with him either. Him and Connelly could fly around the field and it would be refreshing after year after year of slow LBs who get exposed weekly

IMO if we miss out on 1 of the big names in the 2nd, I am totally fine with waiting and going back to back WR picks with Sage Surrat and Tyler Johnson, 2 totally different WRs who would benefit DJ greatly

Personally we need a guy who runs 4.5 or faster, should be plenty of those guys that fit this bill. The teams ironically that are run heavy and explosive (even the Rams and Cheifs as they WANT to be run heavy)all have a ton of speed outside and in the reciever group to open up the middle of the defenses. Mimms might be the perfect match with our comp pick in the 3rd if we want a bigger guy that also can go deep.

True, he's not a speedster and may have some issues getting separation off the line, but he is a big body who will be a matchup problem in the red zone. We already have a few speedsters we could use a big body in the end zone and someone with great body control who could control the outsides. The Rams and Chiefs DO have alot of speedy smaller guys in addition to big body guys who can control the sidelines and become mismatches in the end zone. Im totally on board with Mimms as well, he could really be a problem for defenses if he gets stronger

Kaden Snith is a big body for the red zone I think going forward Day 3 could be the day we hook up with some really nice playmakers. Somehow KJ Hill has fallen through the cracks, prototypical dynamic speedy Ohio state wr that seems as of now will be there day 3 as well. The guy from Arizona is flying up a lot of draft boards as is what's his face from Penn State. There is no way all these recievers will go in days one or 2,especially with how many corners are coming out as well.

What about Tate and Sheppard, are they not speedy guys Kaden Smith is a big body, but he has some work to do with his hands, he shows some promise, but he has a way to go to be a real threat that teams plan around. I gotta say im not familiar with KJ Hill, then again im not an Ohio State fan so i havent seen alot of their games. From what Ive read he sounds like a younger and healthier Sterling Sheppard, which isnt a bad thing at all. The dude at Penn State KJ Hamler sounds like he will be stuck in the slot from what ive read, apparently he's lighting fast and can cut on a dime, but he cant really win contested balls thrown his way, but is electric with the ball in his hands Not familiar with the guy from Az you're referring to

Most of these offenses function at their best with high speed playmakers outside and the bigger guys used inside the red zone(unless you get a rare high speed hight guy) Right now its looking if I had a guess it will be Rivera and even him(when Gettleman was still GM)changed from a slow big offense to the modern basketball on grass style with speedier quicker receivers, especially after bringing on Turner(who I really hope comes along with him as he really reinvented himself as an OC) Of course my dream is still a dynamic 12 type formation where both TEs are legit threats in the passing game and great run blocking and some dynamic guys outside, you get the big bodies inside that can be flexed and red zone threats, the outside guys to frighten defenses, and then an empty box to run RPO at will..

Collecting an early 2 as not wanting to pass on Thomas...Young was gone at 1. Thomas and Tyler set up shop for Daniel...another top weapon with the WR nobody talks about unless you are in Alabama, and in any other year, a top 15 pick. Adebo has shut down skills...deep corner class. Then...we go linebackers...time to get this spot on the field set up...surely one or two will be impact players? Oh, Lucas?...he never gets beat...not a single sack all year. 4: R1P4 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA 34: R2P2 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN 36: R2P4 WR DEVONTA SMITH ALABAMA 98: R3P34 CB PAULSON ADEBO STANFORD 114: R4P8 LB TROY DYE OREGON 146: R5P2 OT LUCAS NIANG TCU 151: R5P7 LB JACOB PHILLIPS LSU 180: R6P2 LB MONTY RICE GEORGIA 215: R7P2 LB CHAZZ SURRATT NORTH CAROLINA 241: R7P28 TE LUKE FARRELL OHIO STATE 247: R7P34 CB TROY PRIDE JR. NOTRE DAME 253: R7P40 OT YASIR DURANT MISSOURI 255: R7P42 RB REGGIE CORBIN ILLINOIS TRADES TRADE PARTNER: MIAMI DOLPHINS SENT: ROUND: 1 PICK: 2 RECEIVED: ROUND: 1 PICK: 4 ROUND: 2 PICK: 4 TRADE PARTNER: ATLANTA FALCONS SENT: ROUND: 4 PICK: 2 RECEIVED: ROUND: 4 PICK: 8 ROUND: 5 PICK: 7 Some notes. I like this for building a complete young line around Jones and the one more weapon. This offense is set(and Farrell is another Kaden Smith, could make things interesting if both develop when Engram's contract comes up) I've watched a lot of late college games this year, especially PAC 10. Adebo is a Sherman clone, early day 3 he is a major get even if we purchase a top corner (while dumping Jenkins) Going spray and pray at LB should get at least 2 keepers from that group.

This might be one of my favorite drafts without nutty trades, even with a major mess up in the 4th round
GM mode Resign Golden and Williams I actually didn't sign a RT this time mainly because the 3 targets were overpaid badly. Byron Jones again
: R1P4 EDGE CHASE YOUNG OHIO STATE
With what Cincinnati did ahead of me (a corner not named Oducuh)and this package to move back 2 spots,no brainer. And still get Young
22: R1P22 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN
Again, its not to early for a C,especially when a franchise caliber one is close enough Again for those in the back Modern offense, beast up the interior of the line to run power zone up the middle off RPO..it actually works when its blocked up
34: R2P2 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU
I saw a few tackles I liked so I traded my 36 back a little (and got the pick back trades for Williams) This is where this guy as of now should be rated, get him opposite Slayton and teams will have bo choice but to play a 2 deep zone(and see above how this compliments the previous pick) You can now be as run heavy as you want and in a basketball on grass style ala San Fran
41: R2P9 OT PRINCE TEGA WANOGHO AUBURN
*whew* Got a day one starter at RT (hate shopping hungry)that eventually moves over to LT
76: R3P12 RB CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE LSU
The perfect compliment to Barkley, threat in passing game
86: R3P22 CB PAULSON ADEBO STANFORD
But why another corner so early? We drafted a bunch the past 2 years and signed Jones.. I've watched this guy play a few times. He is a clone of Richard Sherman..deepening the corner position while adding Young?Yes
98: R3P34 G BEN CLEVELAND GEORGIA
BPA and being pro active in thinking long term for RG in 2022 when Zeitler's contract expires. In the meantime day one starter as depth
108: R4P2 S KYLE DUGGER LENOIR-RHYNE
Uhh...this was supposed to be Dye(the lb from Oregon)I hit the wrong button. I have no idea who this guy is,hell I never even heard of this school. Well,we have a safety with an early 4th round grade now on our roster(this would be the equivalent of turning in a card with the wrong player on it...has that ever happened that we know of?)
146: R5P2 OT LUCAS NIANG TCU
This guy goes late day 2 at the latest. Future starter at one of the tackle spots.
180: R6P2 LB JACOB PHILLIPS LSU
Typical LSU linebacker Smallish but very athletic, with a competent DC that actually plays a 3 man front with our strength a guy like this could be really good
215: R7P2 TE COLBY PARKINSON STANFORD
The next in a line of good 2 way TEs from Stanford Depending on what Kaden Smith does(and potential new coaching staff that hopefully remembers that TEs can be devastating in the passing game out of the 12)could the 2 Stanford TEs make Engram expendable?(I speak of someone who likes Engram...but having 2 TEs that have Jake Ballard's 2 way skillsets with what Slayton,,Reagor and Sheppard with a built line and Barkley..there would be no way any defense could shut down that offense )
241: R7P28 LB SHAQUILLE QUARTERMAN MIAMI
Every time I see this guy in the 7th I'm going to draft him.The Canes are my team and while they have been a ball of meh again their linebackers/edge rushers are still NFL level...
247: R7P34 LB CHRIS ORR WISCONSIN
I think he was injured if I'm not mistaken vs Ohio state... Wisconsin also produces hard nosed try hard linebackers that always end up being useful somewhere. Perfect traits for special teams races.
253: R7P40 QB K.J. COSTELLO STANFORD
Remember last offseason when he was one of the reasons many said to wait to get a qb in 2020 ? Injuries suck unfortunately and he never got going, but fact also that long term good backup qb,would be great to get a guy like this behind Jones.
255: R7P42 WR QUINTEZ CEPHUS WISCONSIN Seems I've been bullish on Badgers lately Got on my radar in the Big 10 championship game Why sign Alan Robinson for a ton of money when you could get the same player on a rookie deal with the Mr Irrelevant pick? He was schooling a future NFL corner that night.

Not expecting Andrew Thomas there...he, Tyler and the Prince makes this draft a success ... Terrell has all the tools to be another shut down corner in this deep class. Najee Harris is now playing like he wants the NFL...he's a one cut north south bruiser when he is on. Cole Van Lanen has right guard written all over him...eventual replacement. His run blocking is more like run grading, creating lanes, highways and firelanes...it's his specialty, and it's indeed special. Mims, Baun, Dye and Lucas...all been here before. Blackmon could make a nice safety...he was being mocked a lot last year as well...Trautman a small school tight end with NFL capabilities...Philipps the LSU three down linebacker...KJ Hill and Troy Pride Jr, so we can see who is faster...the guy catching the ball or the track star CB...watching those 2 in practice worth the price of admission...unless it's too expensive. Hill and Divinity...some actual good pass rush in round 7...near the back 9 as well? Reed is a no brainer in this spot. 8: R1P8 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA 34: R2P2 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN 43: R2P11 OT PRINCE TEGA WANOGHO AUBURN 72: R3P8 CB A.J. Went with the other Fanspeak guy's big board
Yeah...stop beering this guy,his board is a joke as seen below
MY PICKS 4: R1P4 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA
Young went 1st..Miami gave me an offer I couldn't refuse Franchise LT for 10 years
34: R2P2 EDGE CURTIS WEAVER BOISE STATE
Not Young but with my 2020 front 3 of Williams,Tomlinson and Lawrence and bringing back Golden and X man taking the next step this is a decent group to develop
44: R2P12 C CREED HUMPHREY OKLAHOMA
Sick of having a soft C..he takes over day one
60: R2P28 OT PRINCE TEGA WANOGHO AUBURN
I know I just signed Conklin, but I front loaded the deal with 90% of my guarenteed money in the first 2 years. Nice depth and can't ever have enough tackles
68: R3P4 LB DYLAN MOSES ALABAMA
Bit of a medical risk, but let's make our 2nd level great again
76: R3P12 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU
Why sign Tyreek hill for 95 million when you get his clone on a 4 year rookie deal
98: R3P34 RB CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE LSU
My favorite RB in the draft, perfect compliment to Barkley
108: R4P2 CB JAYLON JOHNSON UTAH
One of the many Utes that are NFL caliber in a deep corner draft BPA and puts the kids on notice their job isnt promised )even with me signing Byron Jones
146: R5P2 LB TROY DYE OREGON
BPA..speedy new age LB
180: R6P2 EDGE JAMES LYNCH BAYLOR
BPA. Rhule? gets a guy he knows well for another possible pass rush solution
215: R7P2 LB ZACK BAUN WISCONSIN
Penetrating blitz specialist from the 2nd level
241: R7P28 TE MITCHELL WILCOX SOUTH FLORIDA
I cut Ellison and didnt resign Simmonson Some depth with an all around athletic blocker that's a great receiver that was stuck on a bad offense.Much better than his 2019 stats
247: R7P34 WR DENZEL MIMS BAYLOR
Just stupid he is here in the 7th.
253: R7P40 WR K.J. HILL OHIO STATE
As is this guy(alltime leader in receptions for a team with hall of fame caliber WRs a 7th round grade ?
255: R7P42 OT JACK DRISCOLL AUBURN
And why is he down this far?
TRADES TRADE PARTNER: DENVER BRONCOS SENT: ROUND: 2 PICK: 4 RECEIVED: ROUND: 2 PICK: 12 ROUND: 3 PICK: 12 TRADE PARTNER: MIAMI DOLPHINS SENT: ROUND: 1 PICK: 2 RECEIVED: ROUND: 2 PICK: 4 ROUND: 2 PICK: 28 ROUND: 1 PICK: 4 ROUND: 3 PICK: 4

A more realistic draft, with no trades...
