At this point, I just have to laugh at what is a poor excuse for God's team. Right now, if you can't put up double digits on that double A pitching staff....you can't hit. Just wait 'till next year when the games actually count. Once the sox traded away Betts, who IMO is the 3rd best player in the league behind Trout and Yelich, they were finished. That is like the Chiefs trading Mahomes for draft picks.

Trading for Stanton was not needed and never made a lick of sense. Frazier is absolutely an MLB caliber player that would start on 90% of the teams. IMO, the Yankees clearly have buyer's remorse in regards to Stanton. It sucks that he has a full no trade clause. Our only hope is if a SoCal team ends up wanting his services. Him having a full no trade claus means nothing. No one would take him on at this point. The guy is falling apart. Thr only way to trade him is to package him with Torres or something, which would make no sense. Yup. Wait till he opts in when that time comes. There is no way he is going to opt out. Trading for Stanton was extremely foolish

Sox should have paid him. You don't let a player with that talent walk.

He doesn't pitch, but he makes your entire offense better. He is also an A to A+ defender. No matter how you want to spin it, trading that kind of player in their prime is silly. I agree that the Sox need pitching badly, but not at the expense of giving up one of the best players in baseball who is on the right side of 30 years old. They could have traded Benintendi or Devers and got some pitching prospects in return. Neither of those players are near Betts.

As much as we would love for this one team to fall back, the Rays are not going anywhere. It is going all the way to the wire.

Says the guy who celebrated the tainted World Series in 2018 that doesn't count since your team got caught cheating and fined and suspended draft picks for it. At least the champ this year won't have the taint of cheating attached to their title... Your getting old Morehead. Who knows how many more seasons you got. Just enjoy what they give us. Football will be the same way.

These are tough times for Red Sox fans but the display of bitterness and envy of Yankee fans always cheers me up.
For that.....I thank you.

I'm enjoying your last place Red Sox and my first place Yankees. If that makes you not enjoy the season so be it. Don't watch. I'm sure you aren't anyway. You tend to disappear when the Sox are terrible anyway. Go enjoy your mountains.

I guess like the automatic intentional walk they need to add an automatic intentional out for these types of situations, or maybe institute the Mercy Rule?

His defense is very suspect. And he swings and misses way too much for my taste. Thats the 50% of the time he is healthy.

These rays really have our number. Can't help but be impressed with the limited payroll they have. Doesn't help of course Yankees batting line up is seriously depleted.

Well, Yankees brought their injury bug with them to this year.
Britton last night.
Gleyber today.
I think they lead the league again in ILs.
Thats Stanton, Judge, DJL, Gleyber, Tanaka (he is back), Britton... Infield will now be Estrada and Wade up the middle.
And James Paxton sucks balls. He is a 5th starter in NY at best. Its like watching Gray all over again.

Stanton, judge and Le Machine was just too much to he left out of the line up. Everyone else may have good numbers by end of the year but they're all streaky.

Well Paxton is hurt too now.
Britton yesterday, Torres and Paxton today. On top of Judge Stanton and DJL.
Sounds like a TJ type injury for Paxton.

Been a rough stretch the last week or so, hopefully Judge returns this weekend, assuming we play any games against the Mets, we'll see how the situation progresses.
