The Yankees beat the Mets in both games of a doubleheader...
The Islanders beat the Flyers for a commanding 3-1 lead in their series...
To modify a classic Beatles song... "It's been a GREAT Day's Night!!!"

We finally found a team more messed up and prone to meltdowns than we are this season...and we didn't need look any further than queens to find them.

Lol, the Yankees can't beat the Rays for shit this year. They own us. But then again were not actually that good. I disagree. The Yankees are a good team. Tampa is just better. They deserve a ton of credit. Glasnow is a really good pitcher with A stuff. On another note, how much more patience are they going to have with both Sanchez? I know that he got a big grand slam on Sunday, but that .125 batting average this far into a 60 game season.................

Rays’ Kevin Cash makes ‘scary’ Yankees threat after Aroldis Chapman fiasco Tampa Rays manager Kevin Cash appeared to threaten the Yankees on Tuesday following his team’s 5-3 loss at the Stadium, as the rivalry soared to new heights. Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman in the ninth inning threw a 101 mph fastball that went behind Mike Brosseau’s head, causing the benches to clear once the final out was recorded. “It’s absolutely ridiculous,” Cash said. “It was mishandled by the Yankees, certainly the pitcher on the mound. … Enough is enough, we’re talking about a 100 mph fastball over a young man’s head. It makes no sense. “It’s poor judgement, poor coaching, poor teaching. … I got a whole damn stable of guys that throw 98 mph.” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Cash’s comments were “scary” but would not comment further. nypost.com/2020/09/01/rays-kevin-cash-furious-with-yankees-after-aroldis-chapman-fiasco/

When I pitched as a kid in and HS I did it for sure. What Chapmen did was a disgrace. He should be suspended. 100mph pitch at a player's head. He's douche and if he was told to do that then thats even worse.

I am not going to let my Yankees fandom cloud my judgment about this. Chapman should get suspended for a few games IMO. I understand the Rays' manager's frustration, but I think he went too far with his post game comments about having a whole stable of guys that can throw 98 MPH.

So, I missed the game yesterday.
Can someone explain to me how this all escalated? I saw Tanaka hit Wendell early, but obviously that wasnt intentional. What else happened for this to happen?
And Chap was wrong if he aimed for the head on purpose. There is still that slimmer of hope he was aiming for his hip and it just got away. Chap is wild at times.

How do they know he intentionally threw at him? Especially when he said he didn't? And when hitting him would have brought tying run to the plate? The last thing a closer needs on his record is a blown save.
