Im tired of beating the dead horse of robotic umpires calling balls and strikes, but it is much needed. Deivi's first pitch of the game was over the plate in the zone. And he called it a ball. I knew from the 1st pitch it was goin to be bad. I saw that as well.

He sucks. I was extremely disappointed about his performance. When the umpire is that bad, it totally affects the hitters' at bats. DJ is one of the best hitters in baseball and that pitch to him was clearly high and outside. Bucknor better not see another post season game behind the plate. He makes Joe West look like the GOAT of umpires.

Imagine he walks one in and then stanton is up with bases loaded? This season I guess it's umps who are making like astros

The Yankees are probably through. The Rays and Arozarena are just too much.

Baseball is my favorite sport, so these Yankees losses in the playoffs piss me off a lot more than the accustomed to Giants losses.

This series is pretty much done IMO. I hope that I'm wrong Let's get it to game 5 and Cole again. Odds slightly favor us at that point imo. And the horrible umps, need to go. Last nights game we had a chance to make it close at the end, and tonight we had a chance to blow it wide open early on with bases loaded

Baseball is my favorite sport, so these Yankees losses in the playoffs piss me off a lot more than the accustomed to Giants losses. Strangely I think I know how you feel. I would love to root for a relevant baseball team. But like with the Giants, I'm numb to it in baseball too. So when my hockey team is occasionally relevant those losses hurt way more, because they're meaningful. More importantly, how sad is it that I am wistful for meaningful losses?

Think I'm coming around to the idea if an automated strike zone. If they have the technology, lets use it. To many inconsistent calls in big spots.

To many inconsistent calls in big spots. youd think with the sign-stealing astros and that act being brought to boston, the league would have said enough is enough with regard to mistreating the yankees. yet now they throw biased umps at them. have to wonder if theyre in on it too ... yes its that bad

Marc Luino (who I think is #1 baseball influencer on social media and yankee disliker) picks Yankees today .. hope he's right, love to see another Cole appearance in Game 5. Boone hasn't committed to using him on 3 days rest, but given our depleted staff how can he not at least have him throw a few innings? If we happen to get knocked out. would still love to see Stanton set the record for consecutive post-season games with at least one HR. He's tied w/ 3 others at 5. www.mlb.com/news/giancarlo-stanton-homers-in-fifth-consecutive-postseason-game

LOL, the Rays are trying to troll the Yankees by starting an opener of their own in game 4.

I personally would put Aaron Judge in the 6 spot. You need people that are actually getting on base hitting early in the lineup. He simply strikes out way too much. Dude is hitting about .100 since his HR off of Bieber.

Turns out being the lower seed didn't really matter. We're playing rays - a team we figured we'd have to go thru anwyway - in a game 5 on neutral field. Both teams have also played the same number of games to get here.
