Jeudy is going to be a monster. A Julio Jones type impactful WR. And it is absolutely embarrassing and frustrating we should not take him if he falls to our lap. If DG takes him, he should be fired on the spot. I've seen monsters that can be just as good that will be 3rd round values or further back this year. I'm really liking Justin Jefferson the more I see him, similar hight speed big play ability that can be had probably in the 3rd bow that he can show off his skills in a legit modern passing offense and a great qb. A lot of these recievers skillsets I'm seeing translate well to the modern NFl style The guy from SMU looks like a faster version of Hakeem Nick's and he will be there early day 3 The guy aris brought up from UCF. These days it's all about YAC yards and speed, you get a highly accurate qb(which Jones is)that can perfectly place the ball for optimal YAC yards and these guys can step in and be gams changers,as long as they have deep speed to pull safeties back out of the box.. With that said,if we end up outside the young/Thomas zone we have to trade back ... Taking Jeudy when we have the opportunity for a clone of him with Lamb 7-10 picks back and additional day 2 picks to pour a ton of recourses into O line and LB would infuriate me to no end in the way that someone would pour ketchup on a high end steak I agree with most of that, except Jeudy is the stand out WR in this class. And I LOVE Ceedee Lamb. Jeudy didnt have his best game vs LSU but trust me he is a beast. I havent heard much of the kid from Colorado though. Did he fall off?

Reminds me again of a much more athletic version of Nicks....more home run take it to the house speed Higgins seems to be the guy falling, but that is more because the other WR is beasting (Higgens had a case of ths dropsies as well)

We are now picking 3rd (after the Bengals and Redskins) so if everything stays the way it is then I would just choose whoever Washington decides to pass on. I have a feeling that if they get the #2 overall pick they'll most likely choose Andrew Thomas to protect Haskins since they just took a pass rusher in the previous 2 drafts.

So next question If it stays exactly like this the rest of the way for the top 4 and a qb needy Miami team directly behind us. Do you try to extort an extra day 2 pick from them, aiming for their 1st pick day 2? In a heartbeat, and fib in negotiations and say numerous teams are inquiring about our pick and offering substantial compensation Their 33rs pick is good enough and makes getting Young/Thomas even more bang for the buck
Because 1.Somebody really good will be in our laps at 33 or 2.Teams always try to get up to this pick every draft, especially if its. Qb,we can possibly steal another day 3 pick .

That would present a nice opportunity to make a deal with Miami, who have an abundance of picks. Swap with them at 4. Still get Young. Ask for their Steelers 1st rd pick. Negotiate down to the Texans pick they have. BPA on O all the way through. My version of the dream. Edit: Hmm. That’s not gonna work. Unless there is another bidder. Denver? Titans?

If Miami is all in on Tua just the thought that we are talking would spook them enough I'd even just settle for pick 33. Tampa is probably in ths qb business as well

Yeah, I was just about to say that. There is no way Miami gives up a 1st round pick to move up one spot. The most I've ever seen a team give up to move one spot was the Bears two years ago, they gave up 2 3rd round picks to move from 3 to 2 in order to take Mitchell Trubisky. LOL!

The way this team is playing, we might have the first overall pick, then skies the limit.
My dream scenario is that we lose to Miami and Shurmur gets cancelled and we trade back for a ton of picks.

I want Young. I know that watching Thomas shut down pass rushers and bulldoze in the run game will make me blink, can't complain with either one.

Drafting Thomas over Young would be criminal negligence, which the Redskins are certainly capable of.
If the Redskins take Young, I'm taking 2 firsts, a second and a third from Miami to move back a few picks.
If Young is there, we have to take him.

We might actually get to see a dream matchup in the NCAA playoffs if Ohio state stays at one and Georgia sneaking in at 4 of Young vs Thomas... The only issue is I don't think Georgia has the firepower to beat LSU.
Honestly I flip flop every day on this.. If we stay in the top 4 (which is a very good possibility with what I feel is out ceiling this year at 4-12 )we probably have a 90% chance of one of these guys..

Tua going down is tough because a team needing a QB may have traded king's ransom for him if we had the top pick. Burrow is still really good, but makes that much tougher for teams to pass on Young or Thomas

Chase Young
We have quite a few potential starting tackles in this immense class...as well as center...and even guards. It is DEEP. Teams WILL be loading up this year...expecting a huge first round run on tackles...many making the second, and due to the deep class at corner and of course, the historic wide receiver class...a few potential starting tackles might slip to an early 3...however, a pick, in case you have not heard, we lack...because we simply gave it to the Jets...to rent for the chance to lose a record amount of straight games.
Maybe the brilliance of this trade was...assuring us of Chase Young...put Williams on the team and bam...we lose more, and thus, a chance at Young.
Not since the great Queen sacrifice of the Nezhmetdinov vs Chernikov chess match of 1962, has a sacrifice of a major piece, and early 3rd round pick, resulted in so much victory.
Williams brutal play from this sacrifice has now ASSURED us of a legit chance at...Chase Young
