If Eli does well another team might pick him up in the future. No team needs a 38 year old QB, nor do I think he wants to go play elsewhere. Shady Hills Rest Home...the "Fighin' Rocking Chairs" are in the market. Goooooo Chairs!

Eli hasn’t done “well” against the eagles in the last 5 years. To think that him coming in now for one last HooooRah will change that is just media hype. He is much slower then Jones. Our offensive Line is a turnstile. The Eagles are still in contention to win the division and will be playing Hungry. The game is in Philly and the Fans will be crazy. The cards are enormously stacked against him. Chase Young is a real possibility now and as much as it goes against all that I believe, I no longer want to win these last 4 games. Congratulations. That’s thinking with your head and not your heart.. Yes...the thing we need is fans with no passion. From now on, when we score, I want he entire stadium to get on the feet and chant. "meh".

At the very least that would be so entertaining. And really what else do we, the fans, have at this point? The only reason Monday's game has any intrigue to me is the fact Eli actually gets to play more football for the Giants. And I haven't seen him for months, so it'll take me longer to be frustrated about him checking down on 3rd and 7 when there's not enough space in front of the guy he checks down too. Maybe he'll surprise us and throw it to one of the covered WRs. It's really just a question of which stats we'd like to focus on while losing. This gave me a chuckle.

come to think of it , I thought it was odd that all of a sudden Eli is giving interviews and smiling . Also you should see facebook and instagram the fans are excited and happy. Seems like Eli is not ready to retire. I wonder if he will be wearing another team's jersey next year. I hate to agree with a media guy but I agree with Leonard. Jones finished the game in the freezing cold last Sunday on the same ankle - this doesn't add up. It makes me wonder if there was any mafia or ownership influence in this decision.

Ever had a high ankle sprain? I did just recently...and for a few hours I continued to work...limping but still working. By the time I drove to the emergency room 8 hours later I was: 1) certain I broke it, and 2) honestly pondered if I should crawl from my car to the ER door

I was out for a few weeks. But there are varying degrees of severity to these sprains. I could barely stand after it happened, Jones finished a football game in the snow on it and said after the game "it was sore, something I could manage".

And this may sound awful, but DJ's one defense against the porous oline is his feet. If he can't use that, I would rather Eli take the hits.

What is it about the article that convinced you? For me it was the complete lack of support for and logic behind his loony conspiracy theory. I think he would have ruined it if he tried to provide any support of his concoction. That takes the fun right out of it.

Your "hot take" bullshit is getting old.
Please get better material. You're boring.
Not any older than the postings from the idiots that bash Eli every chance that they get.

What convinced me was Jones finished the game and never looked like he was in extreme pain. Shurmur simply describe it as "soreness" after the game and Jones said it was "something he could manage." That's enough for me to rouse suspicion. And I'm not an "Eli hater". Just stating how I see it. Either way Jones is banged up though and this season is already lost... I don't have an issue with Eli starting.

If it's not a serious strain he could be back in a week. I've had plenty of injuries that I played through and then when I stopped, the soreness, swelling and pain set in and it was much, much worse the next day.

I wish half the posts that I comment this too would go away as well They can it's in your power. Exactly And I have (or used to have)the power fk call out people who litter this place with negative signal to noise ratio posts and threats that clutter up this forum because its getting harder and harder to actually have intelligent conversations with like minded people on these forums because of said posts ame people who repeatedly post them This article is indeed a hot take, written by a writer that is nothing more than a troll just looking for clicks. Where can I get such a high paying job being nothing more than a social media troll that writes for a useless NY fishwrap and spew insane tin foil conspiracies like this..
