Overall I thought the performance was good...I liked coach Shurmer's play selection of course he's not going to show all his cards in the preseason but I liked what I did see. I thought Eli played pretty well and the defense looked better but after all we were playing the Jets. My concerns continue to be the OL especially the right side. There were hardly any holes for the running backs and Eli was pressured a lot that is why a lot of rollouts were called. Lastly I'm concerned about the health of Barkley and Engram. I will not put too much stock in preseason play especially on the offense side of the ball because we did not see our full arsenal of weapons on the field. I will keep my expectations tempered because of a new offensive and defensive schemes and the questions about the health of Barkley and Engram before we even get out of the gate.

Didn't see the game, just the highlights & comments from you guys. The O moved the ball pretty well for the most part from what I saw in the highlights. Both Eli & Webb underthrew the WRs on both long plays, a few yds further & those are TDs to the house. Stewart fumble cost us another 3-7 pts. I gotta believe that with both SB & OBJ in the lineup, a few of those RZ trips that ended up as FGs, are TDs with both of them in the lineup. I actually am way more confident in the O being able to put up pts this yr than the D being able to hold teams under 20. I think this may be a yr where the O has to bail out the D in a few games. Kinda like Atl did in a couple of yrs ago, though I don't think our D is gonna be as bad as that Atl D was. I just think we may have to score 26+ a game to offset the 21-23 the D might give up per game. Hope I'm wrong & we end up having a top 15 D this yr to go along with the top 15 O I believe we will have this yr.
