And I'll just say this to John Mara. If this game was played at Giants Stadium, the place would be packed to give Eli a proper send off.
And if the dump we share with the Jets is empty or filled with Dolphins fans, that is on you and your greed.

Why would Dolphin fans come out to this game when Jets tickets are easier and cheaper?

Why would Dolphin fans come out to this game when Jets tickets are easier and cheaper? Maybe they're making a week out of it? Like the Bills week 1 and 2. Bookend the trip. That would be kind of cool for an opposing fan

That would be kind of cool for an opposing fan It's still in the mid 80s down there Most Dolphin fans are either retirees or working class people Its shit weather up there The local Dolphin fans already saw their game last week.

Appreciate this guys. I said it last week and it deserves echoing. A Giants legend is about to be playing his last game or games for the franchise that he has done a lot for. We all throw the word class, and professionalism around like it’s nothing. Eli epitomizes that..

We shared Giants Stadium with the jets too. I'm confused by your post.

sports.yahoo.com/eli-manning-start-against-dolphins-174926829.htmlVeteran quarterback Eli Manning will make potentially his final home start for the New York Giants on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Rookie Daniel Jones, who took over from Manning as the starter from Week 3, will miss a second successive game with an ankle injury.

I find your lack of knowledge about the stadiums questionable.

lol huh? Giants Stadium was built in 1976. Jets moved in in 1982. We've been sharing a stadium with them for 37 years now. So I'm not sure how you're making a distinguishing difference between "if it was Giants Stadium it'd be pack..." versus Metlife. All seemingly predicated upon sharing it with the jets nonetheless. In summation: Your entire post and reasoning doesn't seem to make any sense.

I'm not concerned about Dolphin fans.
The point I'm raising is there's a very good chance John Mara will be sitting there with a half-filled stadium, in what might be Eli's last time playing for the Giants.

It may not make sense to you because you seem hung up on the Jets. The Jets comment was just a sidenote. The point I was making was about the difference in the crowds due to the PSL's.
But as far as the Jet's go, yes we all know they became a secondary tenant at Giants Stadium, whereas now they are equal partners in the new dump we call home.

Giants fans will show up because it might be Eli's last home game. Giants fans won't show up because the two teams are a combined 5-21.

He hasn't put a good team on the field in 8 seasons. If the stadium is more than half full this week Manning will be the only reason for that.

Dolphin fans don’t travel, the team sucks and they certainly don’t go from warm weather to freezing temperatures so I don’t think we have to worry about that

Sorry Rosey I hadn't seen your thread when I wrote one with similar feelings. I hope the Giant fans shower him with cheers and chants of "Eli" "Eli". That would be a warm feeling and a respectful one. Win, Lose, or Draw.

I for one am ready to move on. Nothing about Eli has ever made me think he was great but lucky. I am grateful for what he's done but I don't worship the ground he walks on like the rest of you. Good riddance, I want my Giants back!

Good riddance, I want my Giants back! I wouldnt say lucky , i would say fortunate at times. timely dropped ints, timely missed tackle like last week that turned into a td which would have been short of a first down and was very good in a 4 /2 min drill. Knowing this is likely his last home game I would think fans would not sell their tickets and come out.

Good riddance, I want my Giants back! Ohh yes , well he’s only played 3 games this year and we are still 2-11 So congrats , you got your giants back ! Appreciating what a guy has given to this franchise and to the fans for the last 16 years has nothing to do with worshipping the ground he walks on.. its simply just showing him a final thank you . Stay home and watch next week when Eli’s out .. I’m sure the results will be much different

I personally have no problem with a home game start as a send off.

We are 2-11 and instead of fighting for the playoffs we are fighting for the number 1 draft pick. Our secondary has reached an all time low regarding talent Regardless of it being ElI’s last game I am leaning towards he won’t get a nice send off. The seats will be empty like my glass of hope is

Good riddance, I want my Giants back! Calling out the board is always pretty embarrassing as it seeks to create a false framework that I guess in some way shape or form is supposed to help the creator feel smart or special or (ahem, lol) unbiased. So, in reality it creates the opposite of its intended goal. It's funny and kinda sad at the same time. But yeah, fans gotta vent their emotions and feelings somewhere.
