This was the guy Rhule Rhule wasn't allowed to bring to the Jets as his OC that scrubbed the entire deal
This is what I could come up with.
Sean Ryan
Albany (1998–1999)
(Graduate assistant)
Colgate (2000)
(Running backs coach)
Boston College (2001–2002)
(Graduate assistant)
Columbia (2003)
(Running backs coach, special teams coordinator)
Columbia (2004)
(Quarterbacks coach)
Harvard (2006)
(Running backs coach, recruiting coordinator)
New York Giants (2007–2009)
(Offensive quality control coach)
New York Giants (2010–2011)
(Wide receivers coach)
New York Giants (2012–2013)
(Quarterbacks coach)
New York Giants (2014–2015)
(Wide receivers coach)
Houston Texans (2016)
(Wide receivers coach)
Houston Texans (2017–2018)
(Quarterbacks coach)
Detroit Lions (2019-present)
(Quarterbacks coach)
Looks like an Erhert/Perkins system guy....but was with us when we were a hybrid WCO/Erhert Perkins offense when Mac was OC.. So there will be a bit of probably having to learn an entirely new system for Jones and the offense Though he was in the Erhert/Perkins at Duke (Cutcliffe runs this) Interestingly the air raid is basically the Erheardt/Perkins system albeit a lot simpler and more horizontal, which we had elements of here..
Also the recievers having to learn how to read defenses as this is a primarily option route based system, though with a numbers system where each reciever is assigned a number and the numbers are assigned pre snap which option route tree goes where.

Any word on who his DC would be. That would be more important IMO. DC and OL coach has to be atop these lists.

Considering the development of Jones is the most important thing I would say OC and system fit is the most important Seems Rhule favored systems that had odd man fronts in his 2 stops in college, dunno if his DC at these stops were the same guy or what... I get the feeling if he is hired we stay in some form of 3/4..just a hunch, mainly because if we resign Williams and Golden we have a really nice base to build on

I remember he was a little peeved when Obrien didn't offer him a n OC position , O brien hired his OC from outside a year or two ago and took a lateral move to the Lions. I don't know what the deal was the media here didn't delve into it much or I wasn't interested in finding out.
*Edit: O'Brien promoted the TE coach to OC this year and Sean Ryan left to be the QB coach for the Lions.

If we hire Rhule I think they believe he can develop Jones. After that DC and OL are tops.

Callahan at OL would be my choice.
Pretty sure he brings his buddy from Temple/Baylor Phil Snow as DC. Know nothing about him right now other than Baylor runs a 3-4.

The Giants are doing anything they can for all the assistants, including paying them for travel to events that might help them get a job. Re-watch his presser.

Why would we hire our former assistant o-line coach and receivers coach to develop our QB?

Bettcher cannot be employed by the Giants next year. Wade just got fired from the Rams. He’s as old as dirt. But the man can coach a defense, I would hope our next HC would at least consider him for the job as DC.

It would be interesting at the very least. That's for sure. A new coach brings new hope, I just can't wait for the interviews to be done and move to the next phase.

From what I saw his contract expired and it was mutual.. Hmmmmm

My knee jerk reaction to wade as the dc is no god no (i don’t that a lot when they come from rivals can you blame ) but when I think about it I like the idea.
