The guy is a quality FS starter. NY is a liberal town. I do not see the backlash that Mara expects if we sign the guy. If he helps us win, no one will care once the season starts except for a few talking heads in the media

Considering that he's stated he will stop with the BS PC kneeling, which shows you how serious he was about it, sure, why not. As you stated, NYC is a libtard city anyway.

Just stating facts Gee, if the shoe fits & all that. I read somewhere that his agent has stated that his client will cease with the BS PC Kneeling during the anthem antics if signed by a team. That to me says he was just bandwagon hopping & not really serious about "the cause". Then again, had Kap been the starting QB for the 9ers, & not demoted all the way to 3rd string, he woulda never pulled that crap either.

It is possible to make a football point without dragging politics into it so let's do that.

OK, then tell me why, when he was the starter in SF, he didn't kneel for the anthem, but soon as he got demoted to 3rd string he started kneeling. He backed up Alex Smith in both his rookie yr of 2011 & in 2012, no kneeling BS. He took over as the starter in 2013-2014, no kneeling, soon as he got demoted to 3rd string in 2015 & Blain Gabbert was the starter. And since his kneeling protest started, he's 3-16 as a starter. Personally, I think he still has the skills to be a starting QB in the NFL , he just needs to quit with bringing politics onto his place of employment. Anyone else does this at their place of employment & they are reprimanded & if they continue, they are fired. He is an employee & if his boss tells him to quit the shit, he should comply, if not, then that's why he's unemployed now as is Reid. Keep the damn politics off the sports field. That's all everyone is asking. SF is one of the biggest liberal cities in the US, that's why he got away with pulling that crap there imo, had he pulled this playing for the Texans or Cowboys, that wouldn't have been tolerated for a single minute by the vast majority of the fanbase nor the team owners.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I wasn't referencing anything specifically and I am not arguing with you. I was simply pointing out that you incorrectly characterized a bunch of your opinions to be facts. That's all.

You are so out of line, Marine! You make me sad...
3rd Marines - Force Recon here. I have so looked forward to your posts which are lucid, objective and reasoned.
I'm not even a liberal but your highly charged word, is offensive in so many ways to so many people. Please keep your politics to yourself.

What pray tell is wrong with Texas? And FYI, I'm originally from Brooklyn , NY, Williamsburg to be exact. I've lived in Tx since 2006 & believe you me when I say you couldn't pay me $1 mil to ever move back to NYC. I will only say this, you can take the NYG fan outta NY but you can never take the NYG outta the fan! Go big Blue!

Really? What pray tell is wrong with Texas? It's too hot. You know what, I'll take 100 degree heat over sub zero temps & blizzards. Not to mention the traffic jams, the supreme high cost of living, anti 2A anti American mindset that a lot of todays NYers have. I have to figure most were born around the late 90s or early 2000s & weren't old enough to see my twin towers go down. I'm quite sure, not a single soul in NYC was anti American the day after, matter a fact, I recall seeing just about every car driving around with a US flag flying from it, now if you fly the stars & stripes with pride, you're looked at as being a racist. How quickly people in NYC have forgotten, "never forget".

Just a guess here but maybe CK1 wasn't as politically aware as he is now till he met his girlfrined in 2015; perhaps she had an influence on him- heavy.com/sports/2017/08/colin-kaepernick-girlfriend-nessa-diab/

You're funny. I'd have 1000% more respect for him & his "cause' if he was doing it at the proper venue, a police precinct & on his time, not the NFL's time. Lemme see, I'm gonna protest against "police brutality against minors & protesting against cops that ''supposedly" get away with killing unarmed minorities at a...…... "football stadium"???? He's against "oppression" but sports a Castro T-shirt? Yeah, you lose all credibility right there & then with that one.

I didn’t like the pigs on the socks and I don’t like the che guevarra shirt either but I have absolutely no problem with CK1 having conducted his protest in the most visible venue and probably safest area for him to do so.
