Yep They are very close already and want this done asap so both sides know the parameters of the cap and things And people remember the cluster**** the 2011 lockout was lasting right until the beginning of training camp, the draft happening before free agency and rookies not getting their playbooks till training camp, free agents being signed in a panic frenzy The quality of the game was preseason level at best that year until October for most teams

1) I really don't like expanding the playoffs to 14 teams.
2) I really hate when players complain about "only" getting $250k to play one extra game. Don't like your pay go do something else.
3) Free the weed. I've never smoked before but it's about time it's made legal for these guys. I rather them smoke some pot than pop a mouth full of pain killers.

The 1/1.5% increase compared to what the owners are going to make off those extra games are peanuts. Huh? The players will make 48.5% of the revenue from those extra games. The owners will make 51.5%. How is almost the exact same amount peanuts?

Go fight for more money by all means but don't cry that $250k isn't enough because you put your body on the line for 1 more game. Lots of people do lots worse jobs for lots less money.
