How much you wanna bet Cuse loses the next 3 or 4 games. Happened the past 2 years. They will finish 5-7 at best. Shame on me for actually thinking that Syracuse was actually going to be good this year. Well, when you start 4-0 and play a should have won the game vs Clemson in their house, it can make you feel good. Babers just doenst do the right things when the wheels start wobbling. And he doesn't care about defense at all. You cant win that way.

The Orange picked up a big win against NC State last night and are now bowl eligible for the first time in 5 years. They should also be ranked (I cannot believe that I am saying this).

I guess this is just a Cuse thread, but 6-2 ranked 22 is pretty cool.
I still think Babers stinks. Up 24-10, they had NC St on the 5 yard line on 4th down punting, and they send the punt block and rough the kicker. Absolutely terrible decision that almost cost them this game. Completely turned the momentum to NC St's side. I think it was 2 passes later they throw a 80+ yard TD pass.
Babers has the team playing well with much less talent, but he makes at least 2 bad calls every game that put games in jeopardy. Calls that are ridiculous. And stop flipping back and forth with Dungey and DeVito.
But hey, 6-2 is 6-2.
Back bowling.

Yeah, the idea to try and go for a punt block at that point when they were guaranteed good field position regardless made no sense. Of course NC St scored a touchdown right away. I think that TD went to Harmon, who looks like a pro prospect.

The college playoff rankings have the Orange at 19! At least they are some compensation for the giants being absolute garbage.

In the North East, you cant play Big 12 style football.

Cuse moves to 7-2 after beating up Wake Forest in NC. 41-24.
Syracuses only 2 loses this season to date were a loss by Clemson in the final seconds @ Clemson in a game I think Cuse should have won with some better play calling since they were up 9 in the 4th, and a loss in OT to Pitt who now is 4-1 in the ACC and leading the ACC Coastal division.
In other words, Cuse has 2 very respectable losses.
Louisville up next in the Dome who Clemson just beat 77-16.
Time for Georgia vs an overrated Kentucky and Penn St going against Michigan.

The Pitt loss does look better since they also almost beat Notre Dame and did best Virginia last night. It would be interesting to see where the Orange would be if they did beat Pittsburgh and did hang on against Clemson. Cuse isn't all the way back yet, but this is definitely some real progress. Babers still doesn't know what defense is. Lol

As expected, 2 completely overrated SEC teams in Kentucky and Florida go down.

Alabama is going to run away with the trophy this year. Their backups are better than most teams starters. Stupid....

Our best hope to beat Alabama got demolished. I'm pretty sure that Alabama's entire front 7 and their backups will be drafted all in early rounds. It is insane how they just keep reloading every single year like this.

Pissed i missed the Bama vs LSU game, i wanted to see how Devin White and greedy would do vs top level talent White missed the first half after a targetting call in the 2nd half of the game prior. Basically, that game was boring as hell. Alabama is going to win another championship and it wont be close.

White and Mack Collins are probably my 2 fav LB's this draft..... Id throw Josh Allen from Kentucky up there as well

Cuse destroyed L:ouisville tonight, 54-23. Could have been much worse if they wanted it to be.
That may be enough to get them to the top 10 for the first time since the mid 90s. Depends on if there are a couple of teams that lose some games in front of them.
Notre Dame in Yankee stadium is up next weekend.
Man, if they only held on to Clemson and beat Pitt in OT...
Oh well. No one is beating Bama anyway. Not even Cuse lol

I hope Book is back for Cuse next week, Go Irish! Yeah Go Irish! Go join a conference and quit being scared chumps! :-) Seriously though they shouldn't be able to play in the playoff until they do. I'm sure ND will beat up Cuse with or without Book.

After watching Bama vs Miss st, im feeling more confident with OT Jonah Williams as the 1st pick. Dude did damn well vs 1 of the nations best rushers in Montez Sweat, while sweat played well it all came from someone elses lack of blocking.
SO MANY GOOD PLAYERS on Bama.... Id LOVE Mack Collins in the 2nd, dude covers like a cb yet hes a 3 down lb who can rush the passer and support the run

Thats why they pick and chose what 5 games they play in the ACC and DONT HAVE THE PLAY IN THE ACC CHAMP GAME. The latter should remove them from any discussion in the playoff. Chumps. Yes. I understand money, but if they want the money and play unfairly unlike 99% of the college teams, the penalty should be NO PLAYOFFS. I would root for them, since I am Irish, but since they want to be babies about it and not play the ebst teams in the ACC, they shouldnt be in the playoffs. Once they actually do join the ACC, then ok. Id be fine with them.

In fact any division 1 school that plays a 1aa school should be disqualified from postseason play.

Alabama has to play the same teams in the SEC West all the time. Notre Dame gets to pick and chose what ACC schools to play because they arent part of the ACC, hence why they dont play for the ACC title game. Big schools play these warm up schools to get ready for the season for the most part, or to use it as a "bye week" to work on stuff or get the backups more work. Plus the reason why the small school accepts to play a Bama and get destroyed is because of how much money they get from it. Its understandable. Syracuse, for example, has to play Clemson and Florida St and Louisville every year (most years those are 3 great teams). Notre Dame could only play one of them, or all of them or none of them. Cuse has 8 games vs the ACC this season (9 if you include ND part of that). ND plays 5 ACC games. They dont deserve to be in a 4 game playoff without playing a conference champ game. If ND is the #5 seed at the end of the year, and the #3 or 4 seed loses its conference champ game, why should ND get in over them for not having to play that tough game at the end of the year because they arent in a conference?

Some of those out of conference games those teams schedule are ridiculous. Who is your college team btw?
