damn that Golden for keeping his motor running to get those "lame ass" coverage sacks. Damn him for taking advantage by sacking the QB because of broken plays or schemes that get him free. The guy got 10.5.....plain and simple. But, it's NOT just plain and simple...there is a HUGE difference of a DE beating a double block cleanly and forcing a QB to scramble into the pocket, and into the arms of a Lawrence...a Lawrence who then gets the "plain and simple" sack stat...while that DE who caused that sack gets nothing in regards to plain, and nothing simple. Well, unless you have a true method of grading and making advanced stats. If you don't believe coaches understand these simple concepts as they go over film, and GM's using them in what a worth of pay is, I can't make it any plainer, or simpler. look.....I am not saying Golden is a "sack master" all I am saying is the guy has some skills and he makes some plays. Is he getting paid too much?... No he isnt and he wont because he doesnt have a deal yet. He will get a good salary with the NYGs or another team. Also when was the last time a Giants player had 10 sacks? I dont really give a crap how he got them. You may call it empty I call it 10 sacks.

VERY happy when DG received the Bettcher orders to acquire him....and complied. It goes into my argument of Bettcher never having the right players for the system he thrived in...linebackers and those hybrids...IOW, James, and a few other DC's were a bit ahead of the rest of the league on how he ran his defense...my no talent, and we had none... can't win no matter who is coaching theory. However, all said, I do know Golden is not in the 15m a year range, he is far more a product of a system and stunts, and as you say...has a high motor. I like him. I would have no problem having him return, but... buyer beware if he does not get that system that suits him... My issue with some posts is, and has been are the...PFF is the great when it backs a love affair, and is all over the place when it attacks the same lover. People pull out stats, such as a sack...and that is fine...but if you or anybody wants to use stats for an argument, you can't draw a line in the sand when it fits a narrative ... stats are far more advanced and we've gone past a color guy who played suggest on the TV, "you won't see that on the stat sheet Jim, yet he was the reason that play happened" Well, now you do see that on the stat sheet...

In other words he has yet to hear an offer he likes. …..from anyone. I must admit however that it is exceptionally good spin. "I am being patient with them." All kidding aside, sometimes guys have to come to the realization of their market value on their own. If we communicate well and handle those situations right, some of them do fall to us at a more workable number.
