New players, new coaches the Giant now on the 3rd reset in a short period of time Challenge will be for players and coaches to mesh together quickly and become and be a better team this season with more wins Not easy I think really the important thing here is gonna be for ownership and DG to have patience. With the way things are our rookie head coach and second year QB and team of course are gonna possibly only have 3 or 4 weeks to get ready for the season. There will be no extra OTAs or practices no early start for this team. Patience is something no one wants to here but it is gonna be needed. Every team will be in the same situation probably teams like KC,SF & Saints have some advantage having consistency with players/vets in place knowing the team & system. The expectation is the Giants will be better this season. Does that mean 6 - 8 wins probably in that range with patience comes reality. If they are competitive and beat some .500+ teams then that is an improvement year over year. To me, anything less is another disappointing season

100% to your point that why when I talk on JPP not being affective it is more the last few years he was here. As far as golden goes think as we both said in AZ he was a piece to the puzzle. I can't say for sure but wonder whether he was a rotational piece. I don't really get all the Golden bashing here. When he was acquired, it was a chancy but economical move - that most said if he just showed full recovery from injury and even produce half the sacks he had prior, it would be a great thing. I don't really recall him being any more of a liability than some players we are keeping and hoping improvement from. I don't believe it's so much as bashing, as not wanting to go near 15 million as some have posted up...and as we are suggesting here, he's more a as bigblue points out, a piece of a puzzle... far more then a main cornerstone on defense. He was one of my favorite players when hustling a sack out here in the desert... Just an opinion on amount vs type of sacks and impact he has with the Giants. As said, if they can get a fair deal, all in for having that hustle back ...and IMHO fair is not even 10 million per, not with whom we just signed at linebacker and the "new" coaching and scheme.

I by no means am bashing him think he is great in a lot of different ways locker room leadership attitude and hustle. Just don't know if he is more then a #2. they are keeping others because they are younger maybe healthier and have more upside I get why they kept who the kept. I left out he is a good player lol. Just don't know what his value is he is still out there I know it is a slim chance still hope he ends up back.
