In the first? Zero chance I hope not...just getting this Ruggs sensation towards DG...it's in my contest mock. Hope I'm wrong Jeudy isn’t that much slower than Ruggs and has a superior edge everywhere else. I think Jeudy will be a Giant. And so it was written.

There is no reason the draft can't be virtual. Other than TV ratings I mean. You think that the ratings will be substantially worse? I'm not so sure. For me, all that pomp and circumstance gets annoying …. I'd prefer it that way honestly but I do think a bunch of folks dig all that extraneous bs.

If I were to watch the draft...and I won't...I would be much happier to see it proceed at a decent, hype minimal pace, and honestly, I would rather these kids be at home with the family for a life changing moment. I always felt bad for Philip Rivers, who worked his ass off for literally almost his entire life only to have his name called by a team he knew didn't want him.

My Question is , when Goodall goes to the podium. Will they pump in booing ( from fans) to keep the tradition alive. Podium? He will be live streaming it from his bathroom in a robe most likely. It certainly is going to be odd seeing everyone in their bedrooms / offices all by themselves on a video conference line. Imagine a glitch and they dont get the pick in on time? Hopefully DG isnt in control of our draft lines. My vision is Goodall will be in a. TV studio in Jersey or NYC., announcing each pick. Mannequins, in the audience ( 10 feet apart) with each NFL team jersey. with cheers or boos and chants. Need to have some fun, now a days.

Our country will not go back “normal” for a very long time. The draft, however it’s produced, will allow football fans the opportunity to focus on football instead of the pandemic. I for one find it interesting to consider all the ways the league has and will adapt to this season. It can’t come soon enough as far as I’m concerned. Agreed. If it can be done safely, why not proceed with it? I don't care one iota about the production value -- if they tweet the picks out I would be happy. For some reason, the media is trying to push this "bad optics" or "tone deaf" narrative about the NFL proceeding with its business, but I don't get the sense that fans feel this way at all (at least the two other fans who are holed up in my house with me don't!).
It would be nice if the media could be locked down for about 30 days.

Hmmm. I never gave that any thought. I was too busy thinking about us and Eli.
Have you always avoided the draft or is that something more recent? I don't watch the entire thing but I do enjoy the first few rounds, and I've been interested in it for as long as it's been televised.

I've never watched it...I mean, I have seen bits of it in passing, but never sat to watch it. I don't watch college football, so I am less connected to knowing what he Giants should do. Never saw Jones throw a single pass until after we took him...of course...i never saw Baker, Rosen or any other QB throw a pass either!

I think it should be pretty cool as a remote broadcast. Without the audience it should run a lot smoother and faster. Analysts don’t have to compete with crowd noise.
There some talk of doing it 1 round per day which is a great idea if you ask me.

Simmons vs an OT? Any opinions on this? Asking for a friend.... Watch them draft either a WR or DT just to piss everyone off. I think they take Rodrigo Blankenship with the number 4 pick. Best kicker in the draft by far. Check out his tape.

You don't watch the draft? I used to watch every second, now I just tune in throughout the day to see what's happening. Although the last few years I watched up until our pick since it was so early. Hopefully next year I will be asleep before our 1st pick.

I think it just brings back great memories for me from my college + years, when I used to get together with my boys and crank beers all day (when the draft was on Saturday) and watch the draft from beginning to end. Favorite sports weekend of the year

I read a lot but don’t know enough to evaluate players independently, I am wrong about 80% of the time on draft picks ... and that’s probably being generous For that reason, I try (not always successfully) to take a wait-and-see approach....

Favorite sports weekend of the year I loved the Saturday draft. I still love the draft. Just electric in the air. Never watched it when I was younger but I remember waking up early in San Diego to watch Eli come to the Giants. I was amazed we were drafting someone my age. I had just gotten back from Iraq and was about to get out of the service. Every draft I watch brings me back to that moment. Great times.
Now I'm amazed we have a HC my age lol.

Whenever I ask him to tell me about what might have happened on a play, he never seems to know. He just says what happened. What's up with that?

I watch it, tape it...watch it a few more times....and then make data for body language vs success...data that I'm 5 drafts in on. I have noticed early in my studies and data collection, OT tears followed by happy hugs are a good sign of failed 2nd years, suggesting tackles becoming guards.
