Super Bowl 42. Taking down an 18-0 team and the in the biggest game. Stopping the most successful duo in history (Brady/Belichick) for the first time in a Superbowl. The way it went down on the final drive. An NYG legend (Strahan) gets his ring in his final game.
Greatest win in the history of the franchise for me.

2000 game vs Minnesota
Proof that you can have a dynamic explosive offense and incredible defense at the same time...
And the way the analysts were expecting us to get blown out at home...
The divisional game vs Dallas holds a special place in my heart We were being mocked by everyone in the media...social media was just starting This was supposed to be a coronation of the next "America's team" and "the chosen one "(Romo) and we were the Washington Generals....the jobbers...
To beat them like this and the aftermath....almost as satisfying as the super bowl.. I have no doubt we short circuited the next reign of terror from this team and fanbase with that game.. They never truly recovered...(Jones himself says this was probably the most devastating loss he was ever a part of) Then for a while Eli would torture this team on their home field regularly, pouring salt in that wound. While things haven't been good vs them lately....it pales to what the hight of the Eli era did to that team
Overall best game 1990 championship game vs 49ers... The last true slobberknocker old school hard hitting defensive battle probably ever..
This goes right up there with those old Steelers/Raiders games for brutality. This is when a defensive struggle type game was more about 2 great hard hitting defenses and not inept O line play and a ton of penalties like many seem to think a good low scoring game is today(which is why unlike the past a low.scoring game is brutal to watch)
Watch this game again and count how many of those hits would be personal foul penalties today (Then again defenders knew how to tackle and weren't Closing their eyes and going airborne looking for a knockout blow)

I voted for the '86 game against the 49ers. We had been so bad for so long, and the team heading into those playoffs was so dominant. It was a new feeling, one that the subsequent wins simply couldn't replicate. First time is always special.

The best game I have ever seen has to be the ‘90 NFC Championship game against the 49ers. There are so many reasons as to why.
First, it’s a Championship game. The winner of this game was going to Tampa to play in the super bowl. The opponent? The hated San Francisco 49ers.. The team we have faced 4x in the playoffs in the ‘80s. Splitting the series two a piece. The team everyone was enamored with, the celebrities who played in the red and gold. 4x super bowl winner Joe Montana with the best receiver in the game Jerry Rice. They were coming off a back to back Super bowl winners. They were looking to be the first franchise to win a three peat. All the analysis were saying it’s a foregone conclusion that the 49ers would beat the Giants and face the Buffalo Bills in the super bowl. Only thing that stood in their way was this blue collar team that quietly came off a 13-3 season. Their starting QB done for the year, their prized rookie running back Hampton injured. All they had were a back up QB, and broken down OJ, and an aging legend in LT that stood in their way. And the game didn’t let us down. Both teams didn’t want to give up an inch let alone a first down. Each tackle was met with ferocity, the players on both teams were leaving it all on the field. It was like two Rams hitting each other every play. Oh, did I mention there was a Gulf War going on? So fans throughout the Country needed a brief moment to get their 3 hours of entertainment.
When it was all said and done, the hit that was heard around the NFL world was done by one of our very own Leonard Marshall. His hustle and never give up not only broke the will of the 49ers, but Montana’s back. The Giants needed one last play to achieve the unthinkable. The 49ers were running out the clock, with a run up the middle with Roger Craig, Erik Howard poked the ball out and like a great Hollywood script who other than LT caught the ball in midair and recovered the fumble. Giants ball, drive down the field, kick a game winning field goal with no time on the clock. The rest is history.
“There will be no three peat.”

The "Greatest Game" imo has to be SB XLII beating the supposedly greatest team in NFL history.
But I'll tell you beating those 49ers in a slaughter the first playoff game ever at Giant Stadium might be my all time high. And then the Redskins after that.
Winning that 1st SB vs Buffalo I was so mellow. I had a warm loving feeling after that game. To me it was more love than mano vs mano I'm Champion type feeling. It ws my 1st real Championship as a Giant fan. I was too young in '56 when we beat the Bears to really appreciate it.
And in '86 with the Giants and Mets both winning championships in the same year my feet were off the ground. You wouldn't have wanted to be a Jet or Yankee fan near me that year. After listening to those blowhards forever. The Jets with their SB and all you heard was Joe Willie, and the Yankees with all their World Series. Well '86 was my year. Both Champs in the same year, it will never happen again.

The best game I have ever been to was in 1998 against the undefeated Broncos (13-0) and Kent Graham threw a perfect pass to Toomer in the corner of the end zone where I was sitting to win. The Giants didn't end up going anywhere that season, but on the way out of the stadium I saw a sign torn in half that showed Broncos 14-0.

Many games to love on that list. I just don’t see how the takedown of the 18-0 Pats isn’t the choice. It’s arguably the greatest win in NFL history, forget Giants history. Not criticizing, but if you didn’t select it t I believe it was simply an exercise to select something different. 18-1 bitches!!!!!

I've explained many times over the years on the Boards why the 1986 NFC Championship game was not only the greatest Giant game I ever attended, but the greatest sporting event I ever attended. I'm too tired to detail again...
Summary... Long suffering...Just Wow Reality...Defense...Wind...Confetti...Hugs with strangers... I could go on...

Super Bowl 42 and it's not even close really. Some people may feel more attached to another game for one reason or another but being the only team in the history of the NFL to beat an 18-0 team and being 14.5 point underdogs is a thing that will likely never happen again. Truly a once ever event.

I’m going with the Super bowl against the Bills. That was a work of art ! We were underdog and they were supposed to mop the floor with us. Ball control game plan keeping Kelly and co. Off the field worked to perfection. Incredible 1st down made by Mark Ingram Of course, the two New England games were spectacular. But this game always sticks in my mind...

Jim Burt’s shot to Hostetlers knee and Simms taking a shot to the head delivering the TD pass to Bobby Johnson. When a team hurt our QB those defenses took it personally. They wanted payback. Thanks he good old days. Montana was lucky to survive those 2 hits.

I knew at the moment. We were beat.
