Red zone target. There aren't many CBs that can cover a guy his size.

There was an article saying Derrick Dillon was one of the best gunners in the country. And he was trying to craft his skill towards that. If I can locate the article, I'll post it.

Red zone target. There aren't many CBs that can cover a guy his size. Thats true. I was thinking he is in the mold of a Larry Fitzgerald type of receiver. Once he gets in stride after catching the ball he will be hard to bring down ..
If he works out..

The problem with a guy like this is like it's like a 747/787 taking off compared to a 737..the 737 takes half the runway a 787 does to get to take off speed

He has a 4.68 40 time. TE speed and tall TE height. At least he should be considered for an end zone target.

that guy is insanely big. I hope he can play. another Barden or Washington There is a reason unfortunately Harold Carmichael was the only 6'8 WR to be good... They can't get seperation early enough in their routes and are only good at jump ball type plays, and you can't carry a guy that can only be used inside the 15 yardline that can't do anything else... Maybe with roster sizes expanded to 55 we try this..

The 2 WRs from Ohio State are impressive. Good hands and 6-2 and 6-4. But slow Not Olympic Sprinters for sure but they have good hands and football instincts.

To be honest, guys like VC are more of a blip than they are a trend. If any of these WRs are even remotely close to being VC in his prime, it would be awesome. I disagree plenty of UDFA make it. I think this group we picked up will certainly compete and push the others for sure. It would be great to get a few surprises.

I’m rooting for this kid. It a hell of a long shot but he can be our new Plax in the red zone it’ll go a long way. Start having him pull down fades as soon as possible

I am rooting for all of these kids. It will prove one we found a Diamond or Diamonds that 31 other teams failed to see.

That was part of the reason we sucked in the red zone. Washington was given a chance preseason 2015 when he started the first 3 games because of injuries... If you are any good and you are opposite Beckham you will get single covered.. Not one pass went in his direction..(remember how many went to a double covered Odell ) He basicly quit on his routes when he couldn't get off the line or seperation.. Again tall guys are good on paper until they get on the field and you see they can be limited athleticly at the beginning of their patterns... And even id a guy is lights out in the red zone,he could be useless the rest of the time. Can you justify a roster spot for someone who only is a specialist on offense inside the 15 and can't play special teams? This is the dilemma for these guys or we would see every team with a 6'8- 6'9 power foward that has 15 catches for 15 TDs on their team

The only time we used a tall receiver was Plaxico and he was deadly in the red zone.

The playfalling myth for those games was debunked when video was posted showing this . Those plays were designed to go to Washington

Tyke Tolbert has done an amazing job getting the absolute best out of our WR's.

And sadly they both had monster games in pre season Seriously? They both had multiple big games. Big time catches to win games. Yes neither amounted tp anything with any nfl teams. And the game winning catches were against scrubs But at the time many of us said hey hey dominated the subs so many thought they should of got more of a chance to make team. Neither had any real chance to compete with 1s. But it was exciting at the time

How do these two non-NFL caliber players have anything whatsoever to do with the current team? Let it go man

That tells a story in itself. Out of all the UDFA WR last year Reggie White was the best. With him. He better show he is more than PS fodder or he will be out of a job. There is a reason these guys go undrafted. Being fast and or tall are not indicators of talent. It takes much more than that. You have to go through hundreds to find a Victor Cruz or a James Harrison.
