Saw on Twitter that Crowder getting picked by us in the second likely cost him at least $75K in guaranteed money because he had multiple free agent offers on the table, including at least one with $150K in guarantees

Pros - Long and stocky frame built for attacking downhill and playing into the line of scrimmage. Has the contact balance and hitting power needed to take on contact and finish without conceding yards after contract if he gets squared up. Has enough length to accentuate his range defending short zones in the middle of the field. Generally plays under control and doesn’t get caught over-extending himself. Adequate processor ID’ing the run and quick passes while showcasing a sound trigger to work into pursuit. Generally quick to fill windows. Physical and urgent.
Cons - Angles are often too conservative and his paths to the football come up short and he doesn’t have the range to compensate. Tight in the hips and he doesn’t impress with the quickness in his pedal or change of direction fluidity. Often taken off the field on passing downs for a reason. Niche, scheme-specific type player who projects as an early down inside linebacker.
