We had a change at center at the same time as Brown, BTW. Some think that player had something to do with the improved line play as well. Brett Jones? I'm getting old man brain but I'm pretty sure it was Pulley who came in due to injury. The line improved and most attributed it to Brown but some thought it could've had something to do with Pulley handling the brainy side of being a center better than Halapio. I lack the expertise to know one way or the other but many didn't even consider it as a possibility.

It did make a huge improvement in that line, and lured us into thinking that it would improve a bit more even last season, alas they regressed.

Another year of Shurmer's buddy Hal Hunter would've shown even more regression.

Jamon Brown although a fan favorite didn’t really put up statistically good numbers the oline with Omameh vs the oline with brown was night and day. Apparently obviously immediately. This is the only oline stat that matters. Omameh was the worst. Cut mid season. Replacing trash with a little better trash is still trash

Replacing trash with a little better trash is still trash I agree with that. The difference with DG vs. JR is that JR would have said, regarding Omameh "the talent is there, it is up to the coaches to bring it out." He was one stubborn SOB. DG has had some huge swings and misses (Jonathan Steward comes to mind). What I like is that he doesn't try to prove to himself that a mistake was actually a good pick.

we are going to see a lot of movement ala 2018 with this Especially after preseason.. With how thin we are at WR we probably find a stop gap here.. Did they just get bumped to 32 for picking up Cooper Rush from the Cowboys off the waiver wire?!?!?!? That would be awful......losing your waiver position for a 4th QB. EDIT: Ahhh nevermind.....waiver orders hold the same from the Draft till the 3rd week of the season....was about to lose it.
