That's rough, going from their last regular season up to the NFL, at whatever capacity. It would likely effect what level many of them play at.

Yep What solutions would teams have Maybe this class of rookies would get an automatic red shirt roster exemption in 2021 and only participate in training camp for roster building and such..or half a year on rookie reserve with the ability to be "called up " after week 8 so they can get rest.. (and if they play their year 1 automatically kicks in..if they spend their entire rookie year on the reserve list it doesn't kick in till 2022) If not you will end up with most of the top level draft eligible players skipping out the season

I'd hate to see those players fall behind on their studies because of this.

How is it possible that college football will be pushed back into 2021, while the 2020 NFL season will start on time in September?

Still seems to be some major smoke this is what's going to happen Remember Football is probably the biggest income for every level college and not playing would devastate schools financially.
One idea I've heard that's gaining traction is that the "spring league would primarily consist of draft eligible players, exempting freshmen and true sophomores as they would be saved hypothetically for tbe regular fall season Draft gets pushed back to a week after the end of the Championship game (the thinking being that because of no combones/workouts less players would opt out of "bowl games "(thats if they even have a postseason other than the Championship rounds..they could actually double the playoffs)
interesting stuff

Now there are rumblings football in the fall but only conference games .. this is what PAC-12 and Big 10 are saying the last few days. I expect other conferences to follow suit.

So if they are only playing conference games, for safety, I have to say that's the dumbest idea ever.
Why is it safer for Frorida to play Texas AM than to play Florida St?
Why is it safer for Georgia to play Mizzou than to play Georgia Tech.
Why is it safer for Syracuse to play Florida St than to play Rutgers?

So, Ohio Football:
Cleveland Browns play this fall Cincinnati Bengals play this fall Cincinnati Bearcats play this fall Ohio High SChools play this fall
Ohio State does not play this fall due to Covid.
Makes sense doesnt it.
