Young and rich. It's going to happen in all the sports. You cant stop everyone of them. One gets it, and it spreads.

I don't blame Lorenzo Cain for opting out. It is pretty much a COVID minefield right now in MLB. Without being in a bubble, I don't know how they will finish this season out.

I don’t want to minimize, but how many professional athletes that have contracted this, and there have been plenty, have had anything other than a standard flu like recovery? For the Nate Solders of the world I truly understand it. The virus is a definite danger to those with loved ones, or themselves, having potential complicating factors. For the rest of the Russell Westbrook’s of the world I don’t see why it’s this huge issue. I can say that I personally have never stopped working since the outset of this and everyday that I work I walk squarely into a place where you are as likely to contract it as anywhere. I just don’t have an irrational fear of it. Who knows, maybe I will be taught an awful lesson for that. If that’s the case then that is simply the plan for me. I just want to know how long everyone in the sports world has to be pumped with fear. I people may disagree, but I would go to the Rangers playoff game Monday night in a heartbeat, given the chance. As far as baseball the Mets have been so miserable so far that they could call the season off tomorrow and they would be doing me a personal favor.

As I said before....the virus is going to decide the fate of these leagues trying to salvage their seasons.
It seems it's weighing in. I really don't see how the NFL is going to manage it. There ain't no social distancing in football.

The NHL had another day of no positive test results, and the NBA is doing well in regards COVID prevention. So the bubbles are working.... I hope the NFL takes note of this.

The "bubble" is evidently the only way they can have a chance. MLB obviously isn't using any kind of bubble. Nor is the NFL. It just seems so unlikely they will be able to deal with this virus and actually have real seasons.

They originally had Florida, Texas and Arizona as 3 spots, and those 3 were hit hard recently. When you have 26 or 52 plus on the roster, its going to be very hard. NBA and NHL are what, 12 players? A lot easier to contain. I do think the MLB should have done the bubble though, at least tried it. That said, its still early for NHL and NBA. Lets see where they are at next week with positives.

Damned near impossible to bubble baseball or football. It's one thing to finish out a season and then see teams dwindle during the playoffs. It's another to have 1500+ players/coaches/staff live in isolation for months and months. Plus do all the traveling required, especially with the NFL.

Maybe even more this year. plus a lot more coaches in MLB and NFL.

I'm very anxious for the return of football because I love watching the game but as it pertains to the Giants I have no high expectations because of the virus restrictions, and for that reason I feel this will be a learning season for the young players.

Cardinals - Brewers games cancelled as some Cardinals players test positive. I think we will be seeing things like this happen to all NFL teams tis season because of close contact, how it effects baseball players is a mystery since they don't have that kind of contact.
