It’s his most iconic game, the images depicting the toughness of one of the great iron man NFL QBs. He had many better games. His best game IMO was the 2011 regular season win at Dallas. My favorite regular season win was the comeback from 24-7 down in Philly hitting Plax for the OT winner.

Well now I know who voted "no."

Hard to pick one game. The 49ers game he basically got the snot beat out of him for 4 quarters. And just like a prized fighter he kept on getting up. The second super bowl always stood out for me. He only threw for 1 touchdown. Had 296 yards in the air, and the game was a close battle. But that pass he made to Manningham was one of the best throws I’ve seen from a QB. And it was in the pressure cooker of a super bowl.
Down by 2, over 3 minutes left in the game. Deep in their own red zone, 1st down and they need a big play. The pass had to be on the money, if not it would have been deflected or out of bounds. And just like any clutch player with ice in his veins he makes the throw exactly where Manningham can make the play. It was a thing of beauty, Hollywood couldn’t write a better script. The play to Tyree was a miracle, this pass was something else..

I know this is about one game, but his play in the postseason in 2007 leading up to his first ring is what made Eli.

My favorite regular season win was the comeback from 24-7 down in Philly hitting Plax for the OT winner. That was a GREAT GAME! My neighbor down here in FL was a HUGE Eagles fan, for that game, we went to an Eagles fan club (We alternated weekly). I sat quietly and took the beating in the first half, then started talking some S*** in the second half. OT was uncomfortable. When Plax caught that pass, I cheered... the bar owner came over, handed me my tab, told me to come back the next day to pay it, but he was going to have to ask me to leave for my own "safety". I was then escorted to my car by the owner and security. Best part about it was that, at the time, I owned a 97 Eagle Talon, and my back window was covered in a "NY" logo (24x14). The people outside were throwing food at me as I drove off..smiling.

The best part was listening to the fans fighting with each other as some streamed out before overtime. Sports radio on the drive out was also classic.

My opinion, he was the best QB in the playoffs in both runs all the way through. That 49er game was legendary no matter who was QB. That performance was not only his best performance but one of the all time performances in playoff history.

It’s not his greatest game ever, but I’ll always remember his first time going against his brother and the Colts. He almost beat him. Back when Tim Carter and all those old guys were on on the roster.

he made some great throws that day vs the Niners the screen to and side line throws to Bradshaw were awesome as he escaped pressure enough to get the throw and still get slammed.

That performance was not only his best performance but one of the all time performances in playoff history. I'd imagine that even fans of other teams watching those playoffs would remember it. We all enjoy the game for the toughness factor, we expect it from certain positions but usually give the QB reason to protect himself and just wait to make the play on the next possession. There was none of that, in this game.

I don't know if it was his greatest game ever, but it's probably my favorite game with him and that WR group. Those guys were lethal.

If you ever wanted to tell a story about a man constantly getting knocked down but kept getting back up, where that guy comes out of hell victorious; That 2011 NFC Championship is the story to tell. So many iconic moments in that game, the chinstrap on his face being IMO the greatest. It honestly felt like a movie.

The Eagle game was an icon. I was at a sports bar where Giant and Eagle fans took up one side of the bar here in Maryland. It was peaceful but there was tension after we beat them. Everyone was spent, you would think we just finished playing the game. A lot of alcohol consumed that day.
But that Niner game was the game we all knew how tough Eli was. He stood so tall and led us to victory.
The 2 SB's of course are the shiny jewels on his career, and deservedly so. Those SB's are his biggest games not necessarily his best.
We'll be able to stand and cheer him one more time when he gets inducted into the HOF.

The 9ers game will always stand out for the images it invokes. I loved his domination of the packers the week before because that team was 15-1 and Lambeau is hard for everyone but Eli it seems.
Each super bowl is special for a different reason, but I think performance wise, 2011 is my call and is close behind those other two games above. He started out 10 for 10 or 11 for 11, the throw to Manningham, leading another game winning drive. It was the microcosm of his entire year -- putting the team on his back in the 4th quarter to win a game.

The Packer Championship game in the freezing weather was another one for the ages. Didn't think him or Plex would have a good game in temperature to be honest..

I have pondered this a bit. I think the SF game was his most memorable from a player standpoint I think the Filthadelphia comeback game may have been his best effort.

Agreed.
And the SF was his lowest rated rated game which tells us what QB ratings truly mean.

He was tough as hell that game...maybe not sharp as hell. Still...he will always be associated with that game.

Or how off the charts he played in that entire run

This was his toughest outing for sure
I still can't forget the game @ Dallas in 2011 where he marched them down twice in the last 5 minutes of the game to go ahead.

That game in Green Bay under those conditions would be my pick.
If I had to pick out one throw it would be the one to Manningham on the sideline, incredible!

Did anybody notice he had a strange release, especially early in this game? Almost seemed like over the top dump offs lol. Maybe it was to prevent batted balls? Effective nonetheless...

Justin Smith loop and grabbing (and holding) two OL while Aldon Smith looping in scott free at the QB. Cheap, sure. But god damn was Smith a good player
