SF's D was real good though.
Justin Smith loop and grabbing (and holding) two OL while Aldon Smith looping in scott free at the QB. Cheap, sure. But god damn was Smith a good player To quote Bobby the Brain Heenan If you're not cheating you're not trying hard enough We got away with a lot on defense as well in that game so the Refs actually let the teams play ...which I commend

It’s his most iconic game, the images depicting the toughness of one of the great iron man NFL QBs. He had many better games. His best game IMO was the 2011 regular season win at Dallas. My favorite regular season win was the comeback from 24-7 down in Philly hitting Plax for the OT winner. I gave up and went out to mow the lawn. Lol. My wife came outside and said the Giants had comeback and won. Couldn’t believe it.

Buck sounds miserable and I love it. Always feels like rewatching they’ll somehow lose.

His shining moment yes
His 510 yards and 3 TDs against Tampa was his best game
He had 254 in the 4th quarter probably the best quarter of his career.

The thing I liked about all these posts was positive and about winning, man I just miss these days, you never know how good you have it until you don't

There is no way that was his best game, sure it’s some gaudy numbers. He was awful for half of that game and threw at least two mind boggling picks I clearly remember.

Did anybody notice he had a strange release, especially early in this game? Almost seemed like over the top dump offs lol. Maybe it was to prevent batted balls? Effective nonetheless... Yes I noticed that and he never learned to throw the dump off or screen pass particularly well.....as good as he was. Like, under great duress, he can shuffle his feet to the left in the pocket then square up and hit a one foot box 35 yards downfield to Manningham on that magnificent sideline pass but he couldn't lead a RB properly on a swing pass. It was maddening.

My first game at Giants Stadium , Oct 2005 v Denver We are down 23-10 late in the 4th Q and he brings us back to win it . Ill never forget that great pass to Shockey on the last drive and the winning TD pass to Toomer with just a few seconds remaining ( when Tiki picked up the blitz ) ....incredible. i think he had a fairly poor QB rating that day ......but he came good when it mattered.

It was definitely my favorite game of his. I personally think that he played better the week before against the Packers.

Probably the most prolific beating of his career in a meaningful game. Eli stood tough. He was a top 5 QB in 2011.

Great memories. Two sideline clips come to mind from the 2011 run. First, the SF DBs frantically exclaiming that they could NOT cover Cruz on his option routes in the first half of the NFC Championship game. The 2nd(during the Pats SB) made me have some additional respect for Brady--when Manningham made that epic grab on the sideline, most of the Pats sideline was screaming that he was out of bounds. Brady was caught on camera saying to his bench mates "it's a catch".
