A Jones fracture I think. No one likes to get sliced open, but not terrible as far as feet go. Essentially a broken pinky toe real close to the foot.

As the 49ers learned with Trent Taylor last year, arguably the most important hurdle in successfully overcoming a Jones fracture is the initial surgery. Taylor required a second surgery to correct the first, which got infected and ultimately forced him to miss the entire season. Samuel has a long road ahead of him to get back in time for the start of the new season, but it sounds like he's off to a good start. www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/49ers/49ers-deebo-samuel-says-surgery-went-perfect-fix-jones-fracture

I know its odd, but this type of news doesnt even make me flinch right now. Im not even sure a season will take place so it just feels like, meh. Im kinda jaded about it. Im a big baseball fan, and all this pitchers who got TJ surgery at first I was like man that sucks, but now, it just feels like the season isnt hapening anyway so it was a smart choice. This might be the same thing. Not sure the season will start on time.

As far as the baseball season with June 2/3 gone that's about 70 games missed already. They said they might have a 50 game season, that's less than a 1/3 of the season. They can't even play longer into the year cause the playoffs go thru October and the first week of November. Haven't heard how they would do playoff schedule or format.
And they can't even work a deal on the money. Both owners and players could afford to take a little less. Don't think they have a season this year, it would be a farce anyway. And believe me I've been a baseball fan for well over half a century. And an avid fan I used to know so many stats in my head. And after awhile I find myself not missing it anywhere as much as I thought.
Now no football would be something else to me.

3 baseball teams have had to shut down their facilities yesterday due to outbreaks on the team, and staff. Edit: I just saw that MLB has closed all teams facilities for a Covid clensing. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29334706/all-mlb-spring-camps-temporarily-close-positive-coronavirus-tests

I don't think they're going to have a season. Between the virus and their own greed to work together. Feel sorry for all the businesses that feed off them.
