I’m already preparing for a canceled season. There is no sure way to protect the players, coaches, the staff. This virus feeds off close contact, and that’s exactly what the NFL is. Social distance is damn near impossible on the football field, unless you’re the Giants secondary. If they do have a season with no preseason games. We will have some sloppy football the first few weeks. Look at our team for instance, new head coach, new coaching staff, new players. All of that takes time to build as a cohesive unit. That’s where OTA’s come in, and lastly preseason. To fine tune your playbook and your play on the field.
We all learned something over the last few months. A simple virus that’s extremely contagious and dangerous can cripple all facets of life.

So many aspects are affected by this The lower tier guys should be concerned. Because besides guaranteed money the rest of their salaries I would assume is on freeze. I mean it’s the old saying. You don’t work you don’t get paid. Most players want to play, to get paid is number 1. And if it’s a canceled season that’s a whole year they missed. And in this business a year is a big deal. Meaning, they will be a year older. The NFL has a lot of tough decisions to make. Because health should come first, that trumps money, entertainment by a Country mile. Remember, there are players in the NFL who have underlying issues. Would they want to risk their health for their job?

As ....well..... As much as no season would suck ass....... It would really work to our advantage if the entire season is canceled
If we go straight into the season with no OTAs,only a training camp and no real chance to see what the bottom half of our 90 can do...no chance to get comfortable with the new season and try it out against live action... Hell Who are our recievers after Slayton,Shepard (concussion)Tate(fading?)
The entire 2020 season would end up being a virtual training camp and we would be lucky to get 4 wins .
The silver lining is that a cancelled season means a year and a half to learn the system and we see what we have,

Would they want to risk their health for their job? Health should 100 percent come first but what happens if the vast majority of players want to play? It will end up being like baseball, they will allow the players to opt out and they will attempt to play a season. Im willing to bet most players dont want to give up a year of their limited years playing for a virus thats asymptomatic in a large portion of the cases. This is coming from someone who got hit like a sledgehammer by this thing.

I think it would be the great equalizer between the teams, and would give teams with lesser talent a shot to maybe steal a game or two that in the end could mean a play off birth.
After that anything can happen. We as Giants fans should know that.

Time to do the right thing for all concerned, this virus is out of control and apparently is spreading like wildfire. It hasn't shown any signs of getting weaker or going away anytime soon. States reopened only because of financial reasons; not because the virus was under control.
Until a vaccine is readily available, the season should be cancelled, and no further activities relating to pro football should occur.

I wonder if you can No need for early injuries Or high prices paid by the fan Imagine only games that count towards the playoffs

Right about now, for me, there is a lot of things awful about the league. I could really care less at this point because things don’t improve, it just gets worse. I truly think one day I won’t be watching anymore. It’s not as fun to watch like when I was a kid. I got a ton of memorabilia though. Probably start to sell it.

Until a vaccine is readily available, the season should be cancelled, and no further activities relating to pro football should occur. Actually there are huge signs that the virus is much weaker, as reported by some European doctors and some in US. The death rate is getting lower and lower by the day. That said, the virus does spread easy, but so does the flu that hits us every year. If we tested everyone for that it would probably be much more than COVID. No matter, the players want the money, but don’t want to earn it....they want to do the bare minimum but get full payment thanks to the stance taken by the NFLPA. At some point it will become much more economical just to scratch the season then to satisfy all the wishes of the union, even if the owners do pay the players for sitting on their couches all fall.

Preseason would be starting in one month.....there's no way it's going to happen. The virus is spiking right now and nobody has any way to control it other than distancing.....you can forget it and forget the regular season too.
