It’s gotta be North of $300 million dollars. The years and salary is not what I’m interested in, I want to know what the guaranteed money is. I’m sure it involves a lot of zeros at the end.
Good for him though, maybe now he can buy a hair cut. It looks like a chia pet mated with Cosmo Kramer.

Will he get rid of the bird nest on his head with all the money he has? I’m curious though how they will manage the cap with this enormous contract Mahomes will get. They already have one player in Chris Jones who has stated he will sit out for the year if he doesn’t get a new contract.

If Jones turns out to be a good QB, Giants are F'ed looking at $45m a year in 2022-3...better win a SB with him while on rookie deal, Eli won on his rookie deal..

Only leaves room for too many other big contracts.

Having a mediocre QB and hope of the best? If Jones helps them win an SB on his rookie deal then he is getting extended for sure.

Have to see what the guaranteed cash is. Thats the big marker. Im talking sports in general, not football. Mike Trout did it last year. I dont see anybody in the NFL topping that anytime soon. And besides, when was the last time an NFL player set the market in sports?

Given the length of the deal, specifics on guaranteed money, potential opt-outs and other characteristics of the historic pact will be necessary to analyze the extension fully. www.nfl.com/news/chiefs-patrick-mahomes-agree-to-10-year-contract-extension

Wow!! Just wow! I hope the nfl is raising the salary cap. Because that is a lot on one player. I hope is money for the first year or two then settles...I hope like other team players he will renegotiate as the team needs. The deal will be worth an NFL-record $503 million and includes $477 million in guarantee mechanisms, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

This amount of money is amazing but don't know how you can look 10 years down the road and gage the amount of money. Hell it may be chump change for an NFL QB by then.
We knew KC had to sign him but nobody even knows what the cap will be next year. Or even what happens this year if there's a season or not.
Next up Lamar Jackson lets see how close he gets to Mahomes.

I wonder what the word mechanisms means in “ $477 million in guarantee mechanisms”. Imagine 477 Million Guaranteed. Mind blowing

This one will be good for the first 4 maybe, but the last 4 might be brutal. Also to note, coronavirus will lose a lot of NFL money. Big time contracts might start going backwards for the first time in the NFL due to it if they cant fill stadiums
