With the extra cap space we have from Solder opting out It's time to lockup Tomlinson now.

I think they are planning on saving it for next season, for when the cap likely goes down.

I don't pay attention to the specific details around the finance side of things, but we're setup nicely for the near future. Whether it makes sense to do it now, or whether it makes sense to wait until next year, I don't know. I do know that I'd like for Tomlinson to wear blue for the next 4-6 years and hope he does ultimately get re-signed.

Doesn't really make a difference.....the only thing signing him to lets say a 5 year extension this year does is we can give him 6 million of Solder's saved money this year as a 2020 bonus ....if we are doing this he is the one person who wouldn't make a difference if we have to deal with Solder's contract so if we get it done tbis year fine

The cap could be as low as 175 next year . We are flat as it stands right now. I would like to see him get what he deserves but..... . I think the FO is going to be in a holding pattern until they know what they have to spend. www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-giants/cap/2021/
