Not a huge CFB fan so the only one I recognize is Micah Parsons who I've seen in some mocks. Can he still be a projected first rounder if he sits out the season?

Parsons, Bateman and Farley were all projected 1st rounders. I think you will start seeing more opt out soon. If there is even a season. UConn just waived the white flag for 2020. The team punted.

Covid just makes it easier to do so. It will be interesting though to see what the NCAA does with eligibility though if the season is cancelled.

I can’t criticize anyone for doing that. It really is a personal choice

All 3 were (and still could be )in play for us next year... Especially wanted to see Bateman without Johsnon opposite him ..... Looks like all the top corners and most of the top WRs are still a reason to watch(2 probable huge needs, especially after we probably cut Tate and who knows if Shepard lasts the year)...maybe some 2nd level edge guys dominate enough to push top 10

Does it matter? There's not going to be any college football this year.

Sounds like PAC12 and BIG10 expected to cancel their seasons tomorrow.
ACC and BIG12 to follow.
SEC trying to hold on for dear life.

Looking like a spring season is highly probable at this point because no way these colleges can survive without a football season financially

Looking like a spring season is highly probable at this point because no way these colleges can survive without a football season financially Spring football would be terrible. It would be like watching the XFL compared to the NFL. Maybe worse. There will be no top talents playing.

Or the spring league is for draft eligible players only, you have to remember some of these players only have one season of good tape, some players are coming back from injuries...ect

And the draft is late April, what would the dates of spring ball be? I dont think you would see many top talents out there playing.

Good point but perhaps the nfl pushes the draft back to early June 2021?

The players want it and they are forcing the owners (umm.. I mean universities) hand right now
Some of them them will lose out on a scholarship and education (emphasis on 'some')

Right. There will be "something". Most the talent wont be there though whatever it is. College version of the XFL. Just like every other sport, the "champion" will be asterisk-ed.

I cant believe they cancelled the college football season for PAC12 and BIG10. What a clown show. So much negativity will come from this. 99% of these kids want to play.
Have they discussed how they are going to handle eligibility or scholarships yet?

It will hurt less then a bad season I think that much is for sure. He has a season of game tape.. But we also have seen a lot of 1 year wonders that have busted badly after being drafted high... Personally unlike Simmons I think Parsons was a really safe pick for the top 10,already fundamentally sound and high football instincts with top end athleticism for his position(people say Kuechly,I see Willis more with his smaller athletic frame )..the only thing that could mess him up would be injiry Now..tbe guy I think gets hurt a bit is Rousseau I loved what I saw, freak athletic ability for a prototypical edge type guy (6'7 240 and athletic enough to drop into coverage) Problem is that most of what we saw was raw athletic ability. The SEC also didn't have the caliber of OTs (except Becton and I don't think Miami played Louisville last year)otber conferences had, And another year to refine technique and play against good competition would have done wonders...even if his play slipped a bit to 10 sacks, but the pressures were still there and he developed more all around skills like setting the edge and stuff..he would have been the 1st non qb taken without a doubt. Surtain and the corners might suffer a bit as well....Surtain especially The SEC is stacked with top end recievers again...... Steel sharpens steel

The ones that play (and manage to play) will not regret the decision..In 2021 NFL teams will look at these players differently when it comes time fro the draft.

This one is actually smart He had a qb that had a historical type year and who knows what kind of qb play he will have this year... This is also good because it allows Marshall to raise his stock and show he can be a legit number 1 type as well
