According to WSJ, they want him gone.
That's too bad. I really enjoyed his tenure as the 'Skins owner

The Washington football team. (Boy that sounds odd) was a storied franchise that’s been around since the ‘30s. And yet, this extremely rich dweeb single handily turned the franchise into a laughingstock. I hope as an opposing fan that he owns the franchise for another 50 years..

He's been a douche as an owner since day one. Was a douche prior to that most likely. Not surprised at all.

When I started watching football in the mid 80s, the Washington team was among the class of the NFC. Seemed they were well constructed and had dominant lines. The division in general was considered the toughest - the "Black and Blue" as I recall. It's not a coincidence that our own team had to excel to compete with them, and did well in the post season against some of the best teams in NFL history. It may have felt nice to beat up on Washington for a few decades, but I'd like to see a future of this division being respected and our personnel again rising to the occasion.

Right after the name change because it was deemed racist. Snyder trying to save his ass is more likely IMO.

A qualified guy and at the right time. Synder also changed the name. That was a big move albeit he was pressured. He still did it.

What happened was the equivalent of me holding a gun to your head and saying "Donate to this charity". Sure, you donated money for a good cause, but it wasnt because you wanted to.

I am very much against all these name changes for racial reasons, they are only names with no special alternative reasons, next thing we'll hear is that we are taking Thomas Jefferson's face down off mount Rushmore because he fathered babies with black women who worked on his estate, when does the sillyness stop...

If you go to visit Monticello in VA, you will be shocked at the documented fanaticism that Jefferson had toward his slaves. I assume most other plantation owners and such kept themselves detached from this dirty business.

Some names, for example, need to be changed. If the Natives of this land we live in were not (almost entirely) wiped out then names like the "redskins" never even would have been a choice. Since they were such a small group and pretty much had zero voice it became "ok". Issues like this are personal and I am not saying to view things like I do. Just my opinion.
