What the heck did you expect from this O-line when they have a new center, who by the way has to call the line signals, and has never started at center before, and is playing against a quality defensive line. The line is going to take time to gel, plain and simple. It doesn't mean they suck. Going to have to be patient.

"The corner" is not a sharp 90° turn. It's a lengthy arc. Perhaps we've started around that curve already. Perhaps the arc continued and we are a full 360 degrees, right back where we started How many laps in a NASCAR race? Lol

You are trying to reason with instant gratification people who didn't listen to any of us who warned this team was going to run into a buzzsaw tonight because we were facing a team that has been in the same system on both sides of the ball for years while we were completely new everywhere with no Offseaeon to implement and even for all tbe new players to get familiar with one another If anything tbis was actually a closer game than I thought it would be .

Lose the battle of the trenches, you lose the game. Been a while since this team's OL/ DL won either. Loss to Steelers was expected, now next week's game vs Chi is a "must win", another 0-2 start & we can kiss the season goodbye.

With all due respect, how could you have expected much more? Pittsburgh has an elite pass rush and we started a rookie LT who had no preseason and a Center who had never played the position before at any level. Why is it that no one understands the importance of the Center position? That guy is supposed to be the QB of your Oline...one of the smartest guys as well as toughest on your entire team. We are starting a Tackle at Center! SERIOUSLY?!?!? I think they get it. They feel that Gates has the intangibles to excel there and they are gonna develop that, it will take time. That said if they probably think it will be worth it ,they are gonna go through growing pains with the whole line anyway might as well let him grow up with them.

Agree thought Jone was on the money early had some drops think a little better protection and him pounding it in his own head live to play another day take whats there or throw it away hey he took some big shots and didn't fumble a lot of positives. As far as the team goes they played with good energy physicality on the defensive side of the ball. On offense until this OL settles down it's gonna be a ruff ride.

I hate losing but this was progress. Last year if they were in a game with a team like this they would have been blown out by Halftime, at the end of the third QT they were poised to take a 1 point lead yes the ball got turned over but they showed fight and almost turned them over in return, Don't think anyone is gonna have an easy day at the office anymore when they play the Giants. As Judge gets more of his guys in they will improve. remember Colbert Yiadom were not on this team a week ago and they were involved in 2 scoring plays.

The reality of that game is offensively we had one long pass to Slayton for 6 points. Other then that it was garbage Such childish whining from some of you. Go ahead and vent, but try not to be so embarrassingly myopic. Its one game. We lost to a team that is a favorite to win the Lombardy this year. Loosen up!

I didn't think we would win last night but overall I was impressed with how the defense played hard for 60 minutes and the play of our franchise qb.. if only we could run block we could really open up our offense..overall I think we're headed in the right direction with this coaching staff but we could really use a big play receiver

I caught myself a few times angry--expecting to build a lead. Then I thought back to the last few years and I realize this is just the foundation being laid. The team looks different, even a bit of swag at times. DJ looks in complete control, especially for a QB that did not have the benefit of a run game. Garrett called a good game against a very good defense with one of the best D lines in football. The defense was flying to the ball. Maybe I'm nuts but there's no reason NYG cant be in the mix for the NFC East, which makes it more fun while the rebuilding/reculturing continues.

I think if they can stick together clean up some things and keep that hustle they will win some games for sure DJ was accurate and in control. think on that pick at the end of that fantastic drive he was trying get it out of the back of the end zone. Believe me he had the Steelers on the ropes 19 play drive if he finishes it off who knows. Still they will have a good tutorial from this game the film will show them how good they can be and how important it is to stay focused and keep attention to detail on high alert deep in games.

Not sure that we see Gates again at Center for a while. He was terrible I think we will see him at center again next week. I'd like to take JJ at his word that he will play only the best players at each position, but he's just as full of shit as any other HC that has no real solution at a position. I think Pully should start, but he will start Gates.
