How come playcalling got shitty all of a sudden? Is our line being exposed, cause Barkley is having a hell of a time. We haven’t had anything decent since that bomb and the Steelers are starting to get it together. We’re going to have to take Big Bens knee out. I know that sounds bad, but you all got a better idea?

what are you suggesting??
We cant abandon the run game because they will be in a dime package all game long and only play the pass. Gotta keep em honest

Seemed suspiciously vanilla. I think he opens it up a bit 2H. Don’t quite understand the stretch runs on run blitz

We can't block. Nothing new.
On the bright side, I missed the start of the game but Thomas has looked solid. Jones looks a bit more solid when getting hit....he's getting hit a lot.

Either our line is really bad at the run block or something else is going on. Plus, I haven’t seen a decent pass play since Slayton.

Also, the Engram pass interference call very close to the red-zone was very questionable. Momentum killer.

I don’t understand the surprise here about Garrett’s play calling. Dallas was vanilla for years under his reign there. Garrett is another Macadoo....and if you watched last night the running game was an exact replica of Macadoo’s high school offensive approach. If not for Jones and Slayton on a very few plays, the Giants are shut out.

I thought Garrett called a good game. It’s not his fault the offensive line couldn’t block worth a damn in the running game. Try calling a game where one part of your scheme is not working. The Steelers forced the game into Jones hand. What a shock..

Garrett should've done more to get the ball in open space for Barkley or Engram. That was a failure.

Then the game got soft. Guess you didn’t like watching guys like Deacon Jones, Lyle Alzado or LT play. Either that or you are younger than I think and don’t remember how it used to be.

I thought fatigue killed the defense in the second half more than anything.

I never respected Garrett when he was Dallas HC, but I thought the play calling was overall sound....a noted upgrade from Shurmur. You have to commit to the run if you want to open up other parts of your game. And if its not working, then you'd better figure out how to make it work, otherwise you wont be successful. Jones distributed the ball to a number of targets, that bodes well for making giants harder to defend, if/when they get the run game going. The glaring weakness was the Oline

You people don't know crap about play calling. You think because something doesn't work, it was a bad play call.

But I wasnt playing on the field. Only a spectator. If I am soft for not wanting to intentionally want a player hurt then call me soft. The NFL is far from soft. Bad injuries all the time. Go Alex Smith or Ryan Shazier if the NFL is soft.
