If you were too look up "What is a push-off in the NFL" this video can explain it to you without any words.
THEN Giants get called for barely one hand brushing the defender...
too classic.
League is obviously fixed in terms of spread covering, which most of us already knew.
But this is disgusting and quite frankly an embarrassment to the game of football.
Where have we seen this before??
I'm sure one of you guys remember the game, idc to look it up right now but giants get called for nothing on a pass break up, opposing team challenges gets the reversal PI granted. Almost identical in the case of how the defender hit our receiver our next possession...no PI call. Ok. Giants throw the challenge flag on a more oblivious PI than what was given to other team....free flag right? nope challenge rejected and play stands.
Giants among other teams ( Lions have it the worse) are being targeted at the expensive of "money making" teams for the NFL.
This isn't a case of bad teams dont get the calls, this is a case of ROGER GOODELL BEING A GREEDY PRICK
shit is goofy. /rant
edit- This goes straight back to the coach who missed several calls he shouldve brought attention too. Joe judge gets an F for me game 1 even tho the team was competitive his in game ability was trash. Also missed engram getting his whole arm held (tho we over came the third and long) and THE STEELERS DUDE NEVER RE-ESTABLISHED when he dove on the fumble.. that wouldve backed the steelers up. Couldn't believe it took the announces 3 plays to notice that

Not that it bothered me in the least.

The gallup call made sense at least, the engram one was just lets throw **** at the wall and hope it sticks and doesnt get challenged by the refs. which judge failed.

The Officiating is the human element . We will get a big call / no call go our way at some point too.

That’s nothing. I’m still pissed about the phantom call in ‘89 against Sheldon White.

The Officiating is the human element . We will get a big call / no call go our way at some point too. like in the playoff game against the packers 2011? forget it dude this team has had success in spite of the efforts of the nfl to tear them down which makes it even sweeter.

Meh, it was OPI, but Engram also got a DPI called in his favor that didnt exist earlier. It was on the long 3rd down play, and right before the long Slayton TD. So... It is what it is.

That's a bad non-call...

Officiating in the NFL is very inconsistent.
In other news, water is wet.

Not much you can do about officiating. They tried last year and it was an utter failure. Unless they have somebody else watching that can overturn the official on the fields decision, it'll never change.

Yeah in terms of OPI but just foolish non existent ghost penalties (see engrams catch to give us a 2 score lead) lions are in another dimension alone

On their board, they were praising it as the perfect play and comparing it to santonio holmes lmfao. not a single person mentioned the possibility of a push off. i thought we had homers

It was a bad non call. For that I will also add that the player did a horrendous job of selling it or plead his case. In fact , where was the screaming and arms in the air. The whiplash, the pointing towards the ref with a flagging gesture. None of that happened. How could a coach or coaches react to that in a split second moment if you look at the body language of your player that shows nothing. The coaching staff was busy looking for the 2 feet inbounds.
