New coach, relatively green QB, new systems on O and D, without a preseason....
All things considered, the Giants hung with an established team, with an established coaching staff and an established QB into the mid third quarter until a very bad QB decision sealed their fate.
I’m not a “moral victory guy” by nature but I came away feeling if they were just a little smarter on one play and executed a little better in the run game then they would’ve given the Steelers, who are lights out on Monday night under Tomlin, a run for their money well into the fourth quarter.
So yeah, a loss, but marked improvement.

But let's not dwell on that; a dumb mistake in his first season start to try to make something out of nothing. Barkley's usage is a concern; he's got to be made the weapon he is. They need to figure this out. Engram: Wendy's in Garfield is hiring.

You know, this was a good post. I was about to click a like and be on my merry way. But you had to say “executed a little better in the run game.” I don’t know how to say this politely, the run game sucked balls. They rushed the ball 20 times for 29 yards. Let me repeat that, the NY Giants. The team we all root for rushed the ball 20 times for 29 yards. Our best run play was Jones running for a 11 yard gain. He’s our QB to the new fans. Our running back, he averaged 0.4 yards a carry on 15 attempts.
If I didn’t know better I thought the ‘76 Steelers were out there. I was looking for that toothless Jack Lambert roaming the sidelines.. But, you made some valid points and something we can look forward to for next week.

I agree it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but while they started out good, once Pitt got their witts together they rang out 23 straight points on the Giants. Pretty much having their way.
Then the Gmen scored a garbage TD down 17 with 2min left.

As bad as the offensive line played I still think it has the potential to be at least average. It’s going to take time and the lack of a real offseason didn’t do them any favors,
I’m hopefully that’s the worst performance we will see this season “fingers crossed”

We re moving in the right direction. One would hope so but I thought they would run just a little bit with success. That was the most disappointing thing to me. Seeing Pit in our back field all night long. If they can get the run game going just a little will be huge.

2nd and 3 at the Pittsburgh 4 yard line with only 3 mins to go before the start of the 4th Q
what a fantastic 19 play drive ......which should have ended up with the score being 17-16 Giants
and the rest is history.
There is plenty to be optimistic about. i see this young , well coached team as a 6-10 team but heading towards playoffs the following year
regards UK
