Yes You're still hung up on his draft position?? Only one that would have been acceptable other than SQB was Quentin Nelson (who was who i really wanted) Yes I am. We expended a ton of draft capital on a guy who can't help us win. But he IS pretty to look at....so there's that. So who did YOU want over SQB at #2??? I remember, should I tell the class or you??? |

I remember, should I tell the class or you??? Not one of the we should have not take the RB can or will answer that. Because it breaks this fundamental law of drafting . You do not self impose a drop in draft position. If you have the #2 pick and you take any player that your board has ranked lower than 2 . You immediately allow the team behind you to move up in the draft without compensation. |

it will be interesting to see how the team responds and reacts next week against the Bears. Their D ain't to shabby either. Don't think they are in the same league as the Steelers but they can play. |

And there it is...game planned to stuff the run. With our oline it wasn’t much of a chore. Tomlin isn’t stupid. He knew without even preseason our line wasn’t repaired. And we knew it too. People need to stop badmouthing Barkley. It’s irrational. Tomlin said that the attention to Barkely put there pass defense in a bad spot. if they didn't screw the pooch on that long drive they had the steeler gassed they might have finished the upset. |

Them focusing on him as Tomlin said he put his pass defense in a bad spot he helped by being there focus, they spent 1 pick on Barkely lol. Darnold nor Mayfield the darlings of this board are not getting it done actually right now Danny dimes in 14 games so far looks better then both of them and we still have the elite back that gobbled up 8 and 9 man boxes without that we don't have that 19 play drive that if finished could have been a back breaker. |

I hope the o-line take this as a direct insult and plays with great anger on Sunday. anger and as a unit About 15 years ago the Giants OL was called the worst in the league they did everything under the sun to change that and they did it didn't happen over night tho this line has a lot to work on. |

I remember, should I tell the class or you??? I was against it because IMO no team should ever take a RB at #2. They don't last and are dependant on other factors for success. As we're seeing now. I get the questions about who they should have taken, and they are valid. I honestly don't know. But it's hard to see drafting SB at 2 as a good decision, with hindsight. |

It's less the focus on Barkley and more the way they attacked. zone to snuff out Shepard,Tate,the TEs,but close enough to blitz Barkley on every play Live with a big play Slayton or 2 because they have nobody else to threaten the other side of the field Until this line gells and settles down they have to 1.the idea of 80% of the offense out of shotgun wasagainst byIt may have looked like 8 in the box but it wasn't The same way this team has been successfully defended since they traded OBJ mid level the correct way to come out,especially out of the 12. 2.Detach Engram,make him a pseudo big slot receiver that actually can block really well out in space...its going to naturally pull someone out of the box.3.This is tough because they are playing one handed but establish something early to force the safeties back ..the problem is they don't have tbe firepower to threaten the entire field ,Slayton can't do this himself 4.Barkley is already established..teams have him as the main threat,don't even hand it to him at all,lots of RPO and play fakes ..get him in space early in the passing game on designed plays. 5.More of Board early,jet sweeps and things...4.42 speed Thin out the box and we havw a chance to get him going I love this thread. I remember, should I tell the class or you??? I have no idea who we should have taken. I saw about a half of football from Darnold and Rosen and didn't see Allen play at all. I don't have access to what today's GM's have. I am no college football expert.....unless it's Michigan State.
But I do know a bit about the NFL and how the game has changed. It's about the QB, protecting him and disrupting the opposing QB. Running the ball is nice but you run the ball by blocking up front. Not by blowing the 2nd pick on RB when you have holes all over the football field. You saw was Raheem Motsert did with a decent O line. He's nobody...a journeyman ST player.

I have no idea how the locker room works there. How can anyone know if and how Odell Beckham is effecting the "chemistry" in the Cleveland Browns organization.
I just don't get how anyone else knows. What's your evidence?

Having actual film to study should do wonders for this team. With the staff we have in place, I expect there to be a lot of teaching going on over the course of this week and won't be surprised if we take a noticeable step forward against daaa bears.

I don't know about that I do know he hasn't been the same player that he was here 67th rated WR they might not get much and if he goes to the right place they might get a deal. Think he might be better off with vet QB he is in his 7th year and hasn't been healthy but about 2 of them. |

Wait you used to say when Eli was here most teams are bad on the OL and Eli should excel. People need to chill when this line Tells in anywhere in 4 to 8 games if they suck then we worry. As far as Barkely goes the DG hate brigade will never understand or like the pick. so far we have a QB who seems to pretty legit it is only 14 games so far and a top 3 back I will take that. |

He was complaining that he was not “involved” enough early in games and wants the ball more. Meanwhile, he’s dropping balls that are thrown his way. He hasn’t done a thing since joining that team. Dude is a cancer and everybody knows it but you I guess. He also turned down an opportunity to work out with Baker this summer with the other WRs deciding instead to hang out in LA. |
