Giants v 49ers History
The Giants and 49ers have met 41 times combined in the regular season and postseason. The Giants have 21 victories, the 49ers have 20. In those 41 games, they are separated by only five points (Giants 843, 49ers 838).
The Giants and 49ers have split their last four games dating back to 2014, with each team winning once at home and once on the road. They last faced each other on Monday night, Nov. 12, 2018 in Santa Clara, where Eli Manning's three-yard touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard with 53 seconds remaining in the game capped a 75-yard drive and gave the Giants a 27-23 victory.

The 49ers injury report is so long that the NFL allowed them to put the word “everyone” on it.

So Kittle is a scratch as well. We should win this game. The older version of our Giants, guaranteed, would find a way to lose it. Here's hoping we have finally turned that corner. Giants 24 - 17!

In 2018 we beat a Nick Mullens LED 49ers team 27-24. Two BJ Goodson interceptions and two OBJ touchdown receptions were key to the win. This year I think the key will be our defense against their run game. If they're able to run successfully that will take pressure off Mullens and it could be a long day. I don't think that will happen though and it will likely be a nail-biter. Niners 24 Giants 20

The Giants O needs to break out. Tough order to fill but it needs to happen. I am not talking 40+ points. Lets get to 27+ please.
I am a big Jones fan but can we have a game with no turnovers by our QB. Come on Dan....have a great game. We need it!!
Taking advantage of the Niners is a sign of the Giants further coming together as a team. The Giants run D has to get their shit together big time.

Realistically, this is a game any bad team could and maybe even should win. Jimmy G out, Coleman out, Mostert out, Kittle out, Dee Ford out, Nick Bosa on IR, Sherman on IR, Deebo Samuel on IR. Thats about as banged up as you can probably get.
Problem is, I think their coaching will keep them competitive. Not to mention their OL is still intact, Kinlaw and Armstead on DL, Kwon Alexander and Fred Warner are a great tandem.
Now if Giants win this game, they beat an injury riddled 49ers team and god bless this place if they lose. Still, beating the NFC champion would be a nice way to get our first win of the Judge era.

Is Devonta Freeman the starter, or is he going to split reps with Lewis and Gallman?

the Niners are not playing to lose. Some second tier players are going to be playing their asses off. The top tiers players left will be looking to be leaders.
The Giants have to play like Bosa and Jimmy G etc are out there.
The Gmen are in no position to underestimate any team no matter what their injury status is

Slayton should have a big day against Witherspoon who's struggled.

I could quote Bill Parcells all day. I recall once he was talking to reporters and he called them commies. And they all laughed, like they agreed with Bill. He was a master at motivating his players, and knowing when to turn the heat under their ass. Like LT said, “Bill has 53 personalities.” And he had too, one second he’s telling LT that he can’t beat Irv Pankey, to the next telling Simms to keep throwing down field, don’t worry about interceptions. One of my favorite coaches of all time. I don’t get caught up on how he left after ‘90. He will always be a Giant.

49ers are not making the playoffs. Mind as well let them know Sunday. Offense will be in gear. Defense will play their best game.
Then, all week we will hear . We don’t need Barkley.

Is Devonta Freeman the starter, or is he going to split reps with Lewis and Gallman? I have a feeling that when everything shakes out...Gallman is going to be our #1. Last year he excelled when Saquan got hurt.

If we lose this game, with all the injuries the 49ers have, will people still defend DG when even teams backups are beating us now?

If the Giants can't be competitive today, well, there are far greater issues then losing Barkley.

Espn just announced, 49ers will have 9 starters out for the game. Wow. Thats got to be close to a record for a team. Thats just too much to overcome for a professional team. And throw in no preseason games for the backups, this is a Giants W. If you want to develop into a good football team, this is the type of game where leaders step forward. Your supposed to win a game like this with no excuses. Your leaders should push you through. What kind of team are we NYG? Show us what your made of.

Looks like a LB just got added to the list. 5 on offense, 5 on defense.
