The other dire need Very stacked class....while I despise throwing more high draft pick assets again at a position this team has thrown a ton of assets at the past 2 years we have a horrific liability at CB 2....so....the reality is unless they spend in FA it would be negligence to pass on a top talent if the opportunity is there
So like the reciever thread post anybody you like here

An exact clone of his father, maybe even more athletic With this pseudo New England style defense...him opposite Bradbury ..a lot of footballs thrown his way ..the potential for a lot of turnovers all of a sudden for our defense ... As of now we probably get him with a trade back to the teens...

There are some great CB prospects coming out in 2021. Initially a few of my favs are
Patrick Surtain, Bama Caleb Farley, Va Tech Shaun Wade, OSU JC Horn, S. Carolina Eric Stokes, Georgia Asante Samuel Jr, Florida St TJ Carter, Memphis
We might be able to get some GREAT value in the 2nd or 3rd rounds depending on who falls

OT and CB...so hard to get them right. I'm leaning to your spray and pray method this year vs attempting one early.

Is it too early to say Corner has to be top priority in the draft even with the high bust rate and grab a top pass rusher and high end number 2 WR so we aren't shopping hungry at the draft? Because after today we can't go into the season with what has been playing corner 2 this year
And let's be honest...not much improvement will be found in FA next year

Maybe with such a high bust rate we would be better off taking more than 1 guy day 2 and beyond instead of 1 guy with our 1st round pick... Then again I was SPOT ON with my Jaime Alexander, Jimmy Smith, Xavier Rhodes, and CJ Gardner-Johnson, so yeah I should just quit my job and be the director of cb research, LOL

That's the guy I wanted if he fell to #4, not Isaiah Simmons like many were saying or any of the OTs. I'm glad we got our OT though, lol.

I never wanted Okuduh, but didn't expect him to be a bust.
CBs are so risky to be 1st rounder picks, especially that early.
The pass rush helps DBs out so much id much rather go pass rusher over a DB any day of the weak.
If we need to fill a hybrid safety CB role, Andre Cisco from the terrible Syracuse team is going to be a stud. Ball hawk. Can play up in man or deep safety.

And put McKinney in at Safety ? Any of you guys think that would work ? Ryan is a hybred player who has started in both positions.

We can also use Love who was drafted as a CB. Gonna be a tough test for our secondary without JB. Good thing Odell is out, i feel like he would have exploded today

Having a hard time getting a handle on the players this year with all the nonsense going on and how busy I have been at work. What do you guys think of Jaycee Horn and Shaun Wade?

Would not be surprised if he goes back to school because of how rough he looked Complete liability...and especially after how badly Okudah has struggled Ohio State CBS are going to start getting that rep of being college all Stars and pro all duds

He dealt with coaching changes turmoil and remained professional. We would be lucky to get him.

I feel like we should keep a close eye on Alabama players with Judge as HC Probably selected ahead of us,could be the first position player taken with how dire a need for anyone to be near a reciever these days Bama corners have fared a little better it seems so there is that and why he could be long gone

Im not sure if he IS my fav yet, but he is FUN to watch Would LOOOOVE him in the 2nd round That's the guy I am enjoying watching and harping on as a mock ...but I have given up on trying to translate any college corner for any system, on any NFL team...yeah, I am that off on what I see. That said, in total agreement with you on Horn in the 2nd round...he looks to be a 1st rounder on ...well, tape. You think it's hard to evaluate a corner in college for the pro's, you should try and evaluate these kids in high school... I understand the QB, I get the RB, I even get the OL and DL...but watching high school corners suddenly going up against a top pro style QB, or a Ruggs type speed receiver is comical at times. I give my props to college scouts and the recruiting of this position.

Good size, good speed, excellent ball skills, not grabby and doesnt need to be, very good mirroring cb..... not always the "aggressive" tackler. He will probably have the smoothest transition to the pros out of the cbs

I feel like we should keep a close eye on Alabama players with Judge as HC He was horrible against Florida this year...and Florida has an NFL passing talent team. Tight end Pitts breaking his ankle ... I am sort of a wary these days on investing a top ten pick on a corner...after QB, the OT and corners have to be the toughest learning and adjusting to skill/speed going into the NFL. It seems, with all these mobile QB's in the NFL these days, defenses are relying a lot more on zone...so any cornerback better be able to do more than press. Hell, I don't even feel the pass rush is as important as containment these days...and having a lot of talent in the secondary is a must. Surtain vs Lawrence and Clemson would be interesting...see how they play PS2 with a QB that can quick release skinny routes as well as the deep curls like guided missiles, and take off running like gazelle with a jump cut. Of course, Ohio State would be interesting for the Olave vs Surtain matchup.

At least OTs can be salvaged by moving them inside... Bad corners ....ick
