Yanks get outfielder Locastro from D-backs The Yanks took the first step in that effort Thursday afternoon, acquiring speedy outfielder Tim Locastro from the D-backs in exchange for Double-A pitcher Keegan Curtis. Locastro's calling card is his running ability. Statcast measures his average sprint speed this season at 30.7 feet per second -- well above the elite 30.0 feet-per-second mark, with the MLB average at 27.0 -- and entering play Thursday, he was tied for second among all Major League players with the Nationals’ Trea Turner. Locastro was 26-for-26 in stolen-base attempts entering this season, although he is 5-for-8 so far in 2021. www.mlb.com/yankees/news/tim-locastro-traded-to-yankees

Again, we traded away Mike Tauchman who had speed and could play all 3 OF spots, for nothing.
Cashman needs to go.
Sell off and reload.

Agree with this but Tauchman was hitting 180 and is now on the injured list. We do need to move on from Cashman. We dont know if Tauchman gets injured here. Mike has shown in the past he needs to play consistently to be better at the plate. Bottom line, this guy wasn't traded for for his bat anyway. He was traded for to do exactly what Tauchman was doing. This team is in an awful position right now, and the 2 mega contracts are going to be brutal going forward, especially if Cole was really aided by the substance. Stanton, well we already know.

We needed to trade for this guy when we have left handed hitting Florial in the minors? Not to mention Derek Dietrich who also bats left handed,

3 runs on 3 hits. Just another day of 2021 Yankees baseball. The Mets haven't hit most of the year and of course they look like world beaters against us.

But hey, Yankees social media wants to celebrate a Brett Gardner home run that helped keep his batting average barely over .200 I was surprised he was starting in CF. I figure e Yanks must have a lot of guys injured. And man, they should call the 2 spot something else when Sanchez plays. I don't think catcher is the right term.

If they don't sell this season at the deadline I'm going to be a bit miffed. Then again, they have been doing stuff that confuses me all year. No need to try this season. The makeup of this team is embarrassingly bad.
They need to reload for down the road.

The makeup of this team is embarrassingly bad. They need to reload for down the road. Selling at the deadline makes too much sense. Therefore, it will not happen. The Stanton trade is the point where it started going downhill IMO. I'm not fully blaming him, but the Yankees really did not need him at all. Once the analytics guys got a hold of this team, it was a wrap.

There really was no reason to bring him back. All he has done this year is take away time from players that we should be looking at for the present and future. He can't hit for average and he doesn't steal bases. He also is an average player on defense.

My neighbor across the street moved to Idaho because the cost of living here in SoCal is ridiculous. That isn't your resident state of course, but a ton of people out this way are moving there.

Well, ok, it was the weather and women but cost of living was a huge factor.

The builders are even using more "California" type finishes on their houses to attract the fufu types.
Not for me. I like Montana rustic.

Is what Montana is to California what Florida is to NY?

Fortunately, it seems we are getting the better Californians at least. The ones that are sick of Cali BS.
