Thanks G. like I said before, I’m just enjoying my team this year with no expectations. I didn’t think we’d win tonight. But it’s a fun team and I’m glad they got this far.

Deep down I think most Yankees fans realize this team doesn't have it and they need to look deeply within themselves and the organization to understand what their problems are.

But it’s a fun team and I’m glad they got this far. these 2 teams were polar opposites this year. The Sox were supposed to be pretty bad, but they way exceeded expectations. The Yanks on the other hand underperformed through much of the year. Sox earned the spot this time around. Beat the heck out of the Rays!!!

I hope this loss wakes them up. Fire Cashman. Unload the players you can, including Judge. Build the farm back up. I think the Cole injury was being downplayed. He was bad since tweeking the hammy in september. It was either now or a week from now before we got bounced. Rays should take care of Boston pretty easy IMO, like they would have the Yankees. I am hoping for a White Sox - Brewers World Series, but as I said months ago, I predict a Rays-Dodgers rematch. I'll have to do some research before I say who the Yanks should sign this offseason but they definitely need a pitcher and to trade some big names and get a new GM with juice.

This team simply doesn't have that ...they recede back into the "this is what the data was telling us" BS. It's become a crutch for weak managers.

He just lacked command last night. as Analyst pointed out, he hasnt been the same since the injury. His last outing in Toronto he was demolished even worse. Exactly why you need strong leadership to make the "hard" decisions. After last night Aaron Boone has an 11-11 record managing the #Yankees in the postseason. With that roster, I dont see how it could possibly be worse; i.e. he adds nothing

Purgatory, the condition, process, or place of purification or temporary punishment in which, according to medieval Christian and Roman Catholic belief, the souls of those who die in a state of grace are made ready for heaven. Today, if you say you are in purgatory, you feel stuck or not able to continue towards a goal.
4 Rings as a GM.... lol
Lets look at that. 1 ring the past 20 seasons. And all those rings due to massive spending sprees of top talent.
Get him out.

Like giving Rizzo a 7 year $210M or something dumb. They should have been sellers at this years deadline. It was obvious. Time to retool, reload and rebuild the farm. Otherwise.... purgatory. The Rays are proof the Yankee way is a the Dinosaur way now a days. Good enough for a postseason, not good enough for anything past that. I know the Rays actually haven't won it all yet, but they are set up beautifully to do so. Dodgers were a buzz aw last year. That team is a mixure of the Yankees and Rays. Wild absurd spending but a very great farm system spitting out great players. I am still very happy they stole Mookie from the Red Sox.

I am still very happy they stole Mookie from the Red Sox. if he's a lame duck I wouldnt worry about them letting him spend like crazy. Saw this tweet spells it out perfectly wrt cashman and Boone. If you go to the Yankees 2017 thread on the old board, you would see me saying Girardi should be fired about 2/3s of the way through the season. Then, I saw the team rallying FOR him and they exceeded all expectations in the postseason, and if not for the Astros stealing signs and Altuve using a buzzer, its probably another ring IMO. That said, in that final stretch, and postseason, I was adamant that Girardi MUST STAY at least 1 more year. They promptly fired him being 1 game from the WS. Pathetic move IMO. Time to blow it all up. If Boone goes, so should Cashman, and Cashman 100% should be gone. Here is an old article with some GM suggestions. David Stearns: President of baseball operations, Milwaukee Brewers
The top name on the list. Stearns has done an outstanding job with the Brewers, and deserves a chance at this kind of status jump. The Yankees would need to give him a big, fancy title to get him out of Milwaukee (Stearns wasn’t granted the opportunity to make a lateral move to the Mets last offseason), but it would be worth it. Stearns should be at the top of every front office list this offseason. Perhaps he’ll stay in Milwaukee forever, but it’s always worth asking and making an offer he might not refuse. Erik Neander: Vice president of baseball operations and general manager, Tampa Bay RaysNeander’s Rays teams have been running circles around the Yankees for years. Smarts and ingenuity combined with deep pockets? Sounds like an AL East version of the Dodgers. This would be a similar situation to Stearns, but one that perhaps the Steinbrenner’s deep pockets could influence. Damon Oppenheimer: Vice president and director of amateur scouting, YankeesWould Cashman’s right-hand man really be the right choice? Likely not if a grumbling fan base was given a vote. It doesn’t mean Oppenheimer is the wrong man for the job, just like Jed Hoyer’s ascension to Theo Epstein’s role in Chicago. That seems to be working out quite well. Scott Harris: General manager, San Francisco GiantsFarhan Zaidi’s right-hand man with the National League’s biggest surprise is about to start getting some credit for his role in building a first-place team. Harris isn’t well-known among fans, but has now worked under Epstein and Zaidi. I’m sure his name is familiar inside every front office in the sport. Sam Fuld: General manager, PhilliesFuld is raw, but the ex-big leaguer is smart enough to have risen up the food chain in Philadelphia very quickly. Interviewed for managerial jobs before becoming Dave Dombrowski’s right-hand man with the Phillies. His name will be one baseball fans recognize sooner than later. The Yankees could land him before a rival does. www.nj.com/yankees/2021/07/mlb-rumors-if-yankees-fire-brian-cashman-after-season-here-are-5-possible-replacements.html

Randy Arozarena is becoming the new Mr October. Last year he exploded in the postseason for the Rays, 29 hits in 77 ABs, a .377 BA, 10 HRs, 14 RBIs, ALCS MVP...
And Game 1 last night vs the Red Sox he goes 1 of 2 last night with 2 BBs, 3 runs scored and a HR. Plus stealing home.
This is considered his rookie year too.

Has any other city held all 3 simultaneously before? I'm sure Boston did, of not close I guess. They had 4 at one point very close when the Bruins and Celtics won. Red Sox won. But maybe that was the year we beat the Patriots. LA just had the Dodgers and Lakers. Rams look good.

But no quit in this team. As I said....they are a fun team.
