10 things to watch in Giants vs. Bengals by Dan Salomone
SERIES HISTORYThe Giants will look to overturn series history for the away team when they travel to Cincinnati in Week 12. The home team has won all 10 games in the series with the Bengals, and the teams have alternated victories in their last five meetings dating back to 1997. They most recently met on Monday night, Nov. 14, 2016, when Eli Manning's third touchdown pass of the game, a three-yarder to Sterling Shepard early in the fourth quarter, held up for a 21-20 victory. LAST TIME OUTThe Giants (3-7) sat idle after consecutive wins over Washington and Philadelphia. They will look for their first three-game winning streak since 2016, the last time they made the postseason. After defeating the Titans in Week 8, the Bengals dropped their last two games, most recently a 20-9 loss at Washington. In that game, Cincinnati lost quarterback Joe Burrow, the NFL's No. 1 draft choice this year, to a serious, season-ending knee injury. INJURY REPORTNew York Giants Questionable: DB Brandon Williams (ankle) Cincinnati Bengals Doubtful: WR Mike Thomas (hamstring) Questionable: RB Giovani Bernard (concussion), CB Mackensie Alexander (hamstring), LB Markus Bailey (hamstring) AWAITING WORDThe Giants are awaiting word on the status of a few players, including kicker Graham Gano, rookie safety Xavier McKinney, and linebacker Oshane Ximines. Gano, who has made 20 consecutive field goals (tied for second-longest streak in franchise history), currently remains on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. McKinney, the Giants' second-round pick, and Ximines were formally designated to return from injured reserve this week and were on the field with their teammates. The Giants have 21 days to activate them or keep them on I.R. for the remainder of the season. NEXT MAN UP AFTER JOE BURROW?Ryan Finley stepped in last Sunday after Burrow's injury, but that might change this Sunday. Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor signed Brandon Allen, who could make his fourth career start, off the team's practice squad. KEEP ON RUNNINGThe Giants rushed for 151 yards in their 27-17 triumph Sunday over the Philadelphia Eagles. They have exceeded 100 yards on the ground in each of their last five games. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, that is their longest streak since they topped the century mark in nine consecutive games in 2010. DJ'S HISTORIC NUMBERSDaniel Jones has rushed for at least 45 yards in five different games, the most by a Giants quarterback in the Super Bowl era. Lamar Jackson (nine) and Arizona's Kyler Murray (seven) are the only quarterbacks with more 45-yard rushing games this season entering Week 12. GALLMAN'S TD STREAKWayne Gallman has five touchdowns on 69 rushing attempts this season. He had just three rushing touchdowns on his first 191 carries throughout his first three seasons. He will look to run into the end zone for the fifth consecutive game. RED ZONE SUCCESSIn their first six games, the Giants scored four touchdowns on 16 trips inside their opponents' 20-yard line. Over the last four games, they have scored nine red zone touchdowns in 11 trips. 700 CLUBThe victories the last two weeks improved the Giants' all-time regular season record to 699-615-33. With their next victory, they will become the third franchise with 700 wins, joining the Chicago Bears (774) and Green Bay Packers (763). The franchise closest to the Giants is the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose 10-0 start has increased their victory total to 641.

This is a game they should win. I’m curious to see how they perform when most have them winning this game. We caught the Bengals at the right time. They lost their star rookie quarterback, and they’re coming off losing two games in a row. After shocking the Titans.
Unless the Giants lay an egg. I see our offense moving the ball on them, and our defense giving their quarterback fits. Giants win this one.. Just don’t tell anyone I said that. I have a reputation to keep..

We win this but The Bengals are not going to lay down for us.
We have a history of making back-up QB's look like world beaters, but I don't expect that on Sunday.
I expect our coaching staff to exploit their weaknesses. And that means targeting #68.

But he’s the best tackle in the sport. I know that, because he told us it..

He got a professional team to give him a 3 year contract. That’s the equivalent of selling ice to an Eskimo.

interesting fact that the home team has won the game with these two team's history playing each other.
I think the Giants had a great chance to win even if Burrow and Mixon were playing.

I had to vote Bengals. This is the type of game the giants ALWAYS lose. You guys know I’m right. I hope I’m wrong.

Whatever happened to AJ Green? Never hear his name mentioned anymore. Guy had always been such a force.

I’d love nothing more then to see Jones throw for 300+ yards and a couple tds and shut the Bengals out but idk. Could you call this a trap game?

The Giants need to be ready the Bengals record is almost the same as ours they have 3 good WRs and a QB that can throw he gets hot he will make them look stupid. Time to step up and give there best performance of the season on all 3 sides of the ball.

I bet if we were in the meeting rooms with the team this week, you would have thought we have the Chiefs coming up. I don't see this team taking anyone lightly, not the MO they have been building.

I'd be up for our WR's to throw down a beating on their secondary.

Isnt this the first game we are actually favored? IMO if they lay an egg, it will mostly be blamed on JJ.
