Lots of young skilled guys, but I’m telling you Kratsov may be the most impressive to me. That kid is a hell of a player.

RIP season. Too many losses in close games. Can’t even scratch out a point too many times like this during the season.

The End
Time to promote some kids including Barron. Kreider’s contract was a terrible idea with a hefty 6 years remaining.
Center is a big issue. Mika isn’t going to be getting any younger and there is nothing behind him which can step in as a #1 center with even a #2 center questionable.

Probably the best team that will miss the playoffs due to the stupid reshifting of the divisions and all the one goal losses. I'm optimistic for next year. Seen alot out of the young guys this year.....especially the past month or two to feel the future is bright. Quinn in the question mark and next year will make or break him.

Don’t pack it in until these 2 games with the Islanders. Their heavy style of play has then slowing down as it did last year and his time there won’t be a magical 5 month break for them to recharge the batteries.

And that was the difference between a good team a soft team who isn’t ready. With the season on the line and a legit chance to draw near a playoff position hey got dominated twice. They’d be wise to part with some of this embarrassment of young talent for some grit this offseason.

So Rangers just fired JD and the GM Jeff Gorton. Not a good step for the Rangers. I wonder if Quinn is next, since he was a Gorton hire?

That's what happens when you trade anybody that is a physical presence on the ice. We get pushed around like a kid playing with adults. Everyone in the league saw it and will play that way against us....

Oooooof. This whole season should have been a free pass. Bad timing. Now, this time next season if things are heading in the wrong direction, perhaps blow it up. Not now.

They're a European hockey club, that game doesn't work in North America. The Islanders series proves that. They're a well built team, I knew they'd get good when Lamarello was signed. He builds good teams. The Rangers need to add some toughness to their lineup and they need a new coach. imo

According to Michael Kay, Dolan wanted Gorton fired, JD refused and got fired as well. He also doesn't like the team composition, prompting the change.

Man, what a crazy time for the Rangers. Is this the Dolan effect now that he isnt messing up the Knicks?

I love JD, been a fan since he was our goalie, but I don't disagree with the assessment of the team make-up. Whether it needed this drastic a move, I can't really say, but I actually understand it, even if it was Dolan making the call.

I hate Dolan SO MUCH JD is a damned legend when it comes to the Rangers. He was a goalie before my time, but he was THE VOICE of the Rangers for a generation. If anyone deserved to go it was Quinn and/or Gorton. You need to build 4 complete lines in this day of Hockey, the Caps, Isles, Bruins, Canes, Pens, etc ALL have that. The 4th line isn't just a bunch of tough guys who cant put up points, these are lines with tough guys who can play physical AND put the puck in the net

The Rangers were the latter. I actually think we got this right. Now is the time to accelerate this. I hope Quinn is next, but they say Drury is a supporter. As long as they treat Kakko, Laffy, Fox and Miller as untouchable I’m fine with them doing what it takes. Nobody fears taking a Ranger out right now, that’s got to change and we need some edge. I hate Marchand, but if he were a Ranger I would freaking love him. A great team has to have competitors who aren’t concerned with the sportsmanship lines from time to time. It’s a different league than other sports.

Betting he’s going to give a ton for Eichel (who makes too much and had a neck injury) while a Barkov is more appealing IMO. Flat cap won’t help. Not sure what to think of Miller. Heading toward UFA after next season i wonder if the prospectless Blue Jackets’ Seth Jones could be a target. Neither of these two players were on my radar yet since the dramatic change i think big changes are coming.

Post says former Golden Knights coach getting buzz, if BrindAmour some how can’t work out a new deal with Carolina he’d be an instant top choice.
