Carey Price just saved this series in that first period for the Habs
Should have been 3 to 4 to one

Up until the 10 minute mark the Habs were playing afraid to lose ... They are starting to gain a little confidence Lightning needed to convert a few of those shots early to end this ...
Now ....

I'm calling it The GWG will be a result of defensive zone ineptitude by one of these teams
Wow
Shocked it's only tied at 2 with under 5 minutes to go with this

Winning their 2nd cup in a row. Game 4 was an exciting game though, Montreal actually looked confident for the first time this series. Tampa did miss on ample opportunities. Still had a 3 minute power play going into OT. Too much passing not enough shooting imo. Vaselevsky didn't have a real good game. Tampa hit the post or crossbar at least twice. Missed a wide open net. Oh well Tampa should be stoked at home. It's always better to skate around with the cup in front of the home crowd.

With Tom Brady winning another Super Bowl back in February, the Red Sux looking like a playoff juggernaut, I won’t be able to handle the Habs winning Cup #25 this weekend.

Unfortunately change of plans and I'm not going to the game Driving to Miami as we speak as I have to make up a few looks we didn't get to shoot in Dubai (because the wardrobe went halfway around the world )tomorrow.. Would have been nice

20 minutes They usually do well when scoring first and have a lead in the 3rd Vasilevsky has shutouts in theaters 4 series clinchers for them
Law of averages you would think someone from the top 2 lines finally gets one in

2 cups in litterally 10 months...that is grueling as hell 5 straight series closing shut outs ..that is next level for a goalie
Still always going to have that sore spot that this should have been a 3 peat if not for that horrific choke vs Columbus in 2019 that might target the legacy of this team from being an alltime great team as they have kinds been the best team in the league from 2015 till now
So now comes tbe expansion draft..who do they protect (especially the fowards )and who ends up getting selected.. They are going to lose a really good player... Do they risk losing Killorn(and let's be honest..this team was not the same without him, playing a lesser opponent softened the blow a bit but the power play suffered as did the 2nd line being even nore non existent without him ) Or risk losing a guy like Yanni Guard who is still relatively cheap...

BACK TK BACK CHAMPS! Vasilevsky .....wow Vaslilevsky with these shutouts in clinching games and the last 2 series in 1-0 games. I'm sure this has never been done in the history of hockey. Even with the great Montreal teams when teams won 1-0 routinely. And I seen Ken Dryden win those 5 cups in a row. And Billy Smith win 4 cups in a row with the Islanders. I guess your buddy Cooper is getting another contract ? The Tampa defense smothers other teams. They are so balanced they put pressure on teams no matter which line is on the ice. They just stop teams at their blue line all game. Tampa is becoming a city where champions live.

Do you know how many players a team can protect ? How does this work ? Are they allowed to pull a player off the list if one is picked ? Is there only 1 team being expanded ? When does it take place ?

Not sure I "think" 5 fowards,2 defenseman and a goalie I also think at most 1 player per team can be taken (what are there 28 teams but rosters are like 25) And your other post Yeah When they play fundamental sound hockey with their neutral zone clogging system (left wing lock) they are unbeatable....

Last night the Isles didn't have a 1st rd pick in the NHL draft. Does anyone know what we got for that ? Was it in the trade at the deadline ?
Does anyone know if we lost anyone in the expansion draft to the new Seattle team ? Is it only 1 expansion team ?

Our 1st draft pick is 2nd rd Aatu Raty at #52 a Forward. 3rd rd Goalie Tristen Lennox pick #93.
We traded defensemen Leddy to Detroit. Looks like a salary dump to try and work out a trade for Colorado's captain if he resigns with the Avalanche. Otherwise he's a FA and the Isles will be in the mix. It would be better if we could get the sign and trade. This way we assure ourselves of getting him.
