Maybe they meant he was too good to be a Jet athough it appears otherwise.
The video - what a nice Sam Rosen call and you feel the energy. Loved the late Jim Gordon too. Meanwhile, our Mr Papa is ah, something seems to be missing lol
80's were a good time

Mark Collins was another great 2nd rd pick. We use to be famous for picking great players on the 2nd rd. Tiki Barber, Michael Strahan, Pepper Johnson, Chris Snee, so many more this is just off the top of my head.
We use to put Mark Collins on Jerry Rice in single coverage. Rice once said Collins was the toughest CB he played against. Can't find it anymore. He was the type who might not get the headline but was one of the reasons you were in the playoffs.
Mark Collins, NY Giant always and forever.

Jet material sounds like an STD. I guess if Mark Collins was like herpes he would have been a Jet. Lucky for him, and us. He was a Giant, and a great Giant at that.
Jim Kensil was a good GM for the Jets. He drafted players like Joe Klecko, Wesley Walker, Marvin Powell, Mickey Shuler, Mark Gastineau, Marty Lyons, Freeman McNeil, Ken O'Brien, Jim Sweeney, Kyle Clifton, Al Toon.
It's not like he was some guy off the street. For whatever reason he didn't like Mark Collins.
